I've tried to tell my mom multiple times that people can just take one and walk out, but she's all, "That's illegal, and it's stealing, you can't just walk out with a poster like that, they're not free. They're all lieing to you so you'll try to do it too."

Is there some way I can prove to her that they're free?

Your Lucky! We dont have Walmart where I live. And I have never even seen a MLP FIm Toy where I live. :(
