I think the biggest thing it did, for me, anyway, is stop people from trying to giving me an 09 uncommon for my 2011/12 rares. Now that all pets are on the same playing field, we no longer need to say: there are fewer 09 uncommons around than there are 2011 rares, so fork over your rares. Because, well, that's untrue. If there were fewer 09 uncommons, then they'd have a rare tag, too! But they don't, because there are more of them in active circulation than there are of a the 2011 rare, and we can see that now. Thank goodness I can now validate all those canceled trades!

Ohboy. I hope that PPS owl goes down in rarity. There have been so many rare pets these last few months. It's getting ridiculous to trade for them! D:< Especially when I need the PPS to keep my PPS collection complete.

So what are items worth now? I am so confused D: Are they worth the same as before? I already have enough trouble trying to trade them!

They should have given items a rarity instead...
Or at least made it easier tot distinguish between free items and store items, or which retired items came from which year...
That would make it so much easier to trade for them.

Yeah...that would have been a good idea. Its just hard determining worth for them, and then paying with pets. I get a lot of cancelled item trades because I think they are unfair...

So do dates no longer count?

dates will still be important, but the labels are going to help knock some of that stupidness out. We're not going to have 66% of the site's pets rated under the same label anymore. That is what made dates important, because obviously 66% of pets don't all have the exact same value.

Well, that answers the questions about dates still being somewhat important, but not entirely.

Means that I have to seriously consider my trade fodder again, though.......* *pokes the two uncommons which went very common and common* *

Trading nightmare already as far as older rares are concerned, though. I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to go about the other trades I was thinking about, now. May take a break from trades for a while. People aren't reading the entire thread, just the parts they like, and it's wreaking havoc on some of my trades which were out- may have to cancel some of them, now, with the apologies that it was before the rarities all changed.
