"please, just don't go there..." Dain said quietly. He got up and shut himself in his bedroom.

Christopher sighed. "I knew it. I knew we'd never get things fixed. I screwed up too badly." He teleported home.

Friesia looked down. Great, now they're both upset... She pinned her ears back, feeling like it was her fault.

Ember looked at her. He wanted tocomfort her, but it was more than difficult...

Dain sat on his bed with his head in his hands. Now that he thought about it, he was a little harsh to Christopher...

Friesia walked over to Ember, saying nothing.

Christopher gave the cat a grim smile before sitting on the couch. He wished he could make things right. It'd be the one good thing I could manage to do.

Ember watched her.

The cat padded over to himand sat next to him.

Christopher looked at the cat and began petting her. "I'm a horrible person, Cat."

Friesia just looked at him sadly. "Ember, I feel like this is my fault..."

"It's not your fault." Ember nuzzled her.

"Yes, I am." Christopher looked away. "I killed a guy's family because I couldn't control my anger."

"I know it's not, but..." Friesia got a distant look in her eyes, "it feels like it is."

Ember whimpered slightly.

The cat sighed and shook her head, going back to her kittens.

Friesia gave Ember a sad smile. "Well, I'm going grocery shopping, since a certain wolf cleaned out the kitchen."
