Breedings are not official until the breeding season.
Sometime on September 22nd, she'll put up a post on Furaffinity (and Deviantart) announcing the start of breeding season. At that time, you'd post your breeding request. Then the two owners of the parent Wyrms have to confirm it. Then /she or I/ will confirm it. At that point, you'd pay a deposit (usually $5.00) to her paypal.

You don't pay anything at all before all that is done!

Once the Wyrm is ready to be completed, she will put up ANOTHER post, telling people to pay for their babies. Only then you'd pay the rest of the money, also via paypal (although she does accept money orders, I believe). Which would be an additional $26.

Common varieties get 10, uncommons 5, and rare types 2. Hybrids get the parents total divided by 2.

Yep. That's how it works currently.

There's been some discussion about maybe modifying it if some bred-Wyrms start having 'rare' traits with a lot of breedings. The idea is to keep the 'rare' traits just that, 'rare', but I haven't had any discussions about changing this as of yet.
