"Phantom, you had better not move while my apprentice is treating you." Shiko warned. She began to shred cattail cotton from its stalk as she spoke, piling it beside Hope. "Stuff these into his wounds when you're done." she instructed, glad that she had time to train her apprentice a bit. "Just be gentle."

Hope wiped her paws, she was now done, and nodded. She grasped the cattail cotton in her paws. Hope gently stuffed the cotton into the wounds.
Phantom nodded slightly. "Got it." he steadied his legs and body as the next treatment began. He felt the soft, puffy cotton touch and brush against his skin.

"Good, you're done, will you please call either Leaf Fall or Jakei or both of them in when you've left?" Shiko tossed a wild cherry at Phantom. "Here's your lollipop, thanks for visiting Doctor Shiko. The cherry will soothe your pain, by the way."

Monte hissed and jumped out of behind a bush. She glanced at the other foxes. She attacked foxes that were not part of the leash. A particularly scruffy wolf clung to her. Monte shook him off and snarled. she rolled on the ground shaking him off. she flipped over and bit him by the ear. The wolf yelped. She ripped the ear around and pushde him away. She atempted to help the other foxes that were struggling. Her eyes alert. Searching.

Phantom smiled and picked up the cherry. "Thanks, Shiko and Hope. I'll call Leaf Fall in." He said and walked out the den. "Leaf Fall, it's your turn!"

Jupiter snarled again and finally got a good hold of the wolf's neck and snapped her jaws shut, hoping to kill it. She spat out a mouthful of warm blood and growled as the wolf collapsed to the ground, the wounds of the battle too much for him.

Leaf Fall and Jakei ran back to camp, their bodies aching, and wounds bleeding.

Soul ran over to where Ryuu was struggling with the last wolf. He charged into the wolf and pushed it off the warrior. Snarling as he faced it, Soul leapt towards the wolf and grabbed it's throat, hanging on with all his might. The wolf's blood splattered everywhere as it tried to shake Soul off. The leash leader felt the wolf go weak and he loosened his grip in triumph. Too late. The alpha wolf was smarter than the others, and it had faked its weakness. The wolf grabbed Soul in its mouth and shook him before throwing him to the ground and ripping at Soul's tail. Yelping, Soul twisted around and harshly bit the wolf's nose. He felt the nose *pop* in his mouth and the wolf let out a long howl as it let go of Soul and ran off. Soul started to chase it off but then his legs buckled out from beneath him and he collapsed. As everything began to go black, the last thing Soul saw was the new fox. Who... is that...? he thought as he drifted off into unconsiouness.

Copper didn't have time to react when the wolf barged in. Instead, he had stayed close to Sadira. When she ran off to check on Phantom, Copper cursed at himself, wishing he had been one of the ones to attack. After all, he WAS training to be a warrior. Although he wanted more than anything to sit with Sadira, Copper got up and circled the camp, keeping watch. Now that so many foxes were injured, he knew it would be his responsibilty if anything else went wrong.

Raven had dashed into the nursery when the wolf came in. As she cautiously crawled out after it left, she realized that the small cave was nice, and she hoped that she would be in there with a litter of pups one day... Shaking her head of these thoughts, Raven focused on the task at hand and she joined Copper and circled the camp, hoping that things wouldn't always be this terrible.

When the last wolf had finally been fought off, he yelled, "Come on! Soul's hurt, we all are, we must hurry back to camp!" Ryuu heaved Soul onto his back and began to run back to camp as fast as he could.

Yuri rushed back to camp with the rest of the leash, his heart pounding in fear.

"Hurry up you two!" Shiko yelled to Leaf Fall and Jakei, impatient to get them treated, she knew she would need to treat many more foxes when they came back. "Hope, please chew some more daisy and mint into a pulp to have ready."

Phantom nodded at Leaf Fall and Jakei. "Come in, Hope and Shiko are going to treat your injuries like they did to me." He said.
Hope nodded and chewed some mint and daisy into a fine pulp. She set it out to be ready.
