Abby picked up her twins and watched them.

Zephyr nodded.

"my name's Alex." he said. "and I'm not a kid."

Melody looked around. "that's probably it." she said, pointing to a large, fancy building made from red stone and metal.

Azure breathed, watching her breath.

Switchblade laughed. "I'm Switchblade. But you can call me Blade."

Cyrus blinked and sighed heavily. He was already done with school and college. Did he really have to go?

Abby watched them carefully.

Alex nodded. "alright."

Zephyr led azure to a warm building.

Melody nodded to Cyrus. "get going.." she said. "you don't wanna be late."

Cyrus pouted and went inside to check it out.

She breathed with realief. "That's much better." Her sleek coat didn't do well in cold.

She grinned. "Strange day, eh?" Switchblade said.

Zephyr smiled and nuzzled her.

"I guess so." Alex said.

The dean of the university, a middle-aged Blaziken, stood in front of a small crowd of new students.

Shilo stood in the center of the crowd, she was slightly taller than the others, and her sea-foam green eyes seemed to shine a little in the sunlight of the atrium.

Cyrus glanced around. He rubbed his head and shook the snow off his light blue fur. Then shook off the snow from his wings, ears, and tail... Which were a darker blue. He walked forward silently and tensed his muscles.

"alright everyone." the dean said. "I am going to assign your dorm numbers and roommates." he said, holding a list, we ran through a handful of names, until the end, he spoke out. "Cyrus Ferrington and Shilo Mora." he said. "room 7g."

Shilo shrugged and stretched her arms slightly, tired from a long day.
