Which Pokemon do you think makes the best starter - one both powerful and easy to handle? (All pokemon have their own personalities, of course )

For example - Charizard is awesome, and Charmander is cute and loving... but Charmeleon is the equivalent of a stereotypical teen o-o That's what you have to think about when choosing a starter - so, if you were choosing from all of these starters, which would you choose?

then again, I only play diamond and platinum so piplup rules!
Even though I do have to say that having my totodile in soulsilver worked out too, so I have to say, both of them!
But probabaly totodile the most!
