I Want to Adopt!
Username:NarandaAkurens Name:Kotori "Screech Owl Spirit"Akurens Age:253Akurens Personality:He is kind and caring towards his clan, teaching the pups and helping the elders, but towards those outside the clan he is vicious and protective. He doesn't trust outsiders very much, thinking they might hurt his clan. He is like a father to his trainees and a loyal clan member who is trusted by everyone in the clan. He is also very quite and like to spend his evenings alone to think.Akurens Backstory/HistoryThunder roared outside the camp as the new litter was brought into the world. The pups, unafraid of the storm huddled next to their mother, trying to stay warm.
"They are beautiful!" she exclaimed.
"Too bad your father could not be here to see you little ones." her eyes were filled with sadness as she tried to keep a smile on her face.
"Now, for names. You shalled be called Nala." she said looking to the smallest one, a female.
"And you, Tara." turning to the other female.
"And I shall name you what your father wanted to name you, in honor of him, Kotori." she looked down at the young male who looked so much like his father.
Years later.
"Come on!" Nala yelled back to her siblings.
"Were coming!" Tara yelled back.
"Ya, but your so slow. We're gonna be late." Nala replied
"What are you two yelling about up there?!" Kotori yelled at them.
"About how we are going to be late for our first patrol as a warrior!" Nala yelled back
"We're not going to be late." He yelled back.
"And how do you know?" Tara yelled at him.
"Because we are an hour early." He said with a smirk. Both girls stopped mid-run to look at him.
"You gotta be cuffing me." Nala said
"Nope. We're an hour early." he told her
"I guess we may as well walk the rest of the way." Nala said
"Ya, very slowly." Tara added. Kotori just laughed from behind.
Later
"We are finally on our first patrol!" Nala squealed
"Yep." Kotori replied. Tara ended up having to stay back to help the healer.
"Too bad Tara couldn't be here though." Nala told him.
"She would have had so much fun!"
"Yep." He replied
"Aren't you excited!" she yelled at him
"Our first ever patrol!"
"Yep." he replied, just to annoy her. She eventually stopped talking as the older warrior, Nigro, led them through the woods.
"Stop!" Nigro whispered-shouted from up front. The patrol stopped and looked at him.
"What's wrong?" Nala whispered
"Tarso." Nigro replied
"We can take em!" Nala said to him
"No, there is at least three or four and there are only three of us!" he growled to her.
"Should we go back and get help?" Kotori suggested. Nigro stayed stock still, two of the Tarsos were looking right at them, fire in their eyes. The first took only a few steps foreword as a warning but the second charged at them, his intentions, to kill them.
"Run!" Nigro yelled, turning on his heal to flee.
"Come on Nala!" Kotori yelled at his sister, she was frozen to the spot in fear. He ran foreword hoping to push her out of the way but he was too late. She shrieked in pain as the Tarso's horn jabbed her, flinging her into the brush. The Tarso turned to him, ready to attack him as well. Anger raged through his blood and fire burned in his eyes. He ran at the Tarso, the same time that a second patrol of eight came by. Four of the warrior came to help him, sending the Tarso back to join the others.
"Where's Nala?!" Tara came running. She had been assigned to the other patrol. Kotori looked over at the brush where the Tarso had flung her.
"Nala!" he yelled hoping she would reply, he ran over picking the leaves and branches out of the way, trying to reach her.
"Nala!" he yelled again, but still no reply came. There in the next small clearing was Nala, her body lay motionless on the ground, her eyes where glazed over and there was a gaping wound across her shoulder and side.
"Nala!" he wailed, Tara cried beside him.
"I'm so sorry." Nigro came up behind them.
"It's my fault, I shouldn't have left you." he told them. Kotori sqeezed his eyes shut and held back a growl. He didn't blame Nigro, he blamed himself, he was the one who didn't run fast enough to save her. He turned to Nigro and looked him in the eyes.
"It's not your fault, it's mine." Kotori to him.
"That's not true!" Tara yelled at him.
"It's not your fault, it can't be your fault!" she cried. Kotori looked back at his sister.
"Let's go find mother." he said to her. He walked past the other warriors and headed back towards the camp. Nigro and Tara carried Nala, following behind him. They're mother and Kotori's friend came running out of the camp when they got there.
"How was your first patrol?!" His excited mother came running towards him, but stopped dead in her tracks.
"Nala?!" she cried running to her dead daughter. His friend stopped dead next to Kotori.
"What happened?" he asked shocked.
"We ran into some Tarsos, she didn't move in time when in charged." he gritted his teeth.
"We should get a patrol together to chase them out of our territory." he suggested.
"Just so no more accidents happen." he walked over Nala, sitting down next to her to mourn since he was a close friend of hers aswell.
"I'll be at the cliff if you need me." he whispered to Tara. He ran through the trees, no longer able to hold back his tears, he howled in pain and sadness, a low note that all sang when they lost a loved one. He stopped at the edge of the cliff, pacing along the edge.
"Why?!" he wailed
"Why her?! It should have been me!" he growled. He paced for hours, letting out his frustration until he finally calmed down. He walked back to his mother and sister who were still mourning next to Nala. Tara turned around when she heard him.
"I've decided to become a healer." she told him.
"So I can help others and prevent them from losing loved one like we did."
"I'm going to train even harder so can be able to fight better to protect our clan." he replied. They looked at eachother with determination in their eyes.
"We shall protect our clan with our lives, together." she said
"Together." he replied.Art:
