She smiled, taking the sealskin back and setting it aside, glad she had been right about his character. "Aye, A bit," she said with a chuckle, drying herself off with another towel. "But I dun mind," she added, then smiled at him. "So, ya hungry?" She asked brightly. "How was yer day?" Honestly, it was kind of nice to have someone to talk to. She normally stuck to herself, which suited her fine, but she was starting to remember how nice it was to have someone to chat with.

John nodded "a bit" he admitted "And it way.... interesting" he said with a slight shrug as he thought about talking with Raven on the beach. It had been nice, but it was also kind of hard because of what he saw and how he had admitted that he sees himself as a monster. He swallowed hard and put on his straight face and put the wash cloth down.

Selena have a humph and began cooking up dinner: fettuccine with Alfredo sauce and salmon. "Ya kno, it ain't a bad thin' ta talk to people," she said, keeping her voice conversational. "But if ya dun want ta, I won't force ya. But dun go thinkin' it makes ya a bad person or a burden or weak or sumthn' ridiculus like dat," she added, shaking her head. She used to think that, and was glad she had finally grown out of it. She glanced back at him. "And dun think ya gotta force a smile on me either," she added with a more gentle tone. "No smile looks better than a fake one." She got up to put their towels in the washing machine as the noodles and sauce began to heat up. She gave a small yawn: seemed like today was an advice giving kind of day for her. Hopefully she didn't sound too preachy.
((Honestly not trying to make her OP. She's just been around and knows a little bit from traveling/meeting so many people around the world. XD))

Selena sighed a bit. "I got a brother who is kinda like ya," she said after a moment as she went back to cooking. "Gud kid, but doesn't like to talk much. He's a bit older den me; won't even tell me wut he does fer a job or if he's seein' anyone. But he seems happy, so I suppose it don't matter much, eh?" She said, smiling back at John. Soon enough the food was ready so she dished up too hearty servings for them, setting one down in front of John before getting out a bottle of wine. "Oi, do ya drink?" She asked, suddenly realizing she had no idea if he did...

She chuckled, pouring them each some white wine and water before sitting down and starting to eat. She was glad to see him eating, at least. That meant that whatever was bothering him wasn't so much that he'd stress out and make himself sick, hopefully. "I was thinkin' about goin' fishin' again tomorrow, if ya still wanna come," she said after a moment, smiling and thinking about all the fish she'd catch. "It's how I make me livin'; sell it to one of the local mongers here."
