Shadepaw stared at her paws. "Fine." She meowed. "Nightshadow told me to kill another cat." She meowed, and she looked at Sandyfern, Sparrowsong and Hawkfang. "I've been trying to escape Nightshadow and the dark forest when I go there in my dreams but I can't." She murmured. "I don't want to kill a cat...but if I don't kill the cat I get told to kill...Nightshadow sometimes control me and make me do it without remembering." She meowed. "Who did Nightshadow tell you to kill?" Sparrowsong meowed. "He told me to kill Moonheart...then Emberheart - or star, depends if he has his nine lives left - before he choses a new deputy." Shadepaw meowed quietly. "I don't know what to do..."

Skypaw flicked an ear before he pelted after Emberstar.

Smallfrost woke and the black and white she-cat purred before she licked Gremlinstorm on the ear.

[walk.]

Hawkfang mewed, "We will help you fight him Shadepaw." he put his tail on his sister's shoulder but then mewed in a much more serious tone, "But if you hurt Emberstar, I will kill you, for the good of the clan. Because if I don't do it, nobody will appart from one cat." Jellyspark smirked and padded away. Bluewhisker, now a warrior of the clan mewed, "I will help you too Shadepaw, I knew Nightshadow for a long time, he trained Yewclaw himself." Hawkfang mewed, "That will be of great help Bluewhisker, thank you."

Emberstar came into camp and mewed, "I'm back, with nine lives." he padded over to Sandyfern and Shadepaw and mewed, "Welcome back into the clan, why the serious faces?"

Gremlinstorm mewed, "Come on, we may be going to the gathering!" and he pelted up the hill.

[wolf ;;]

Shadepaw nodded. "Thanks." She meowed to Hawkfang and Bluewhisker. Sandyfern looked up as Emberstar came over and she flicked her tail. Shadepaw wasn't going to tell Emberstar what she had told the others, so she shook her head. "Its nothing."

Smallfrost flickered her tail and she pelted after Gremlinstorm.

[walk.]

Emberstar chuckled and mewed "Well then, we have a ceremony to do about 9 moons late!" he leapt onto the deputies rock then remembered he with the leader and took a step upwards. He looked down, it was really quite high. He mewed, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under high rock for a clan meeting. I have been given my nine lives by star clan and accepted by them. But next, Shadepaw, please step forward, Shadepaw has trained in the forest, so she knows all we do and more, Shadepaw, your name is now Shadepetal and we welcome you as a new warrior of night clan!"


Gremlinstorm shot up the hill to camp and mewed, "What did I miss?"

Shadepetal purred and dipped her head slightly.

Patchfang looked over as Gremlinstorm and Smallfrost came. "Emberstar made Shadepaw a warrior named Shadepetal."

[walk.]

Emberstar touched noses with his daughter and stepped back and cried, "Shadepetal, Shadepetal!"

Gremlinstorm nodded and mewed to Smallfrost, "We should announce about our you know, what we just did."

[wolf ;;]

Sandyfern and most of my other cats started to cheer. "Shadepetal! Shadepetal!"

Smallfrost nodded. "But how exactly do we announce it?"

[walk.]

The clan shouted the new warriors name loudly.

Gremlinstorm shrugged and said, "Jut ask Embersar to speak I guess."

[wolf ;;]

Shadepetal flicked her tail happily.

"Well, you can go tell him then." Smallfrost meowed.

[walk.]

Emberstar mewed, "Right, now then, Sandyfern an Shadepetal are staying in the clan. Unless anyone objects."

Gremlinstorm puffed and mewed, "How about we say together."
