No, I didn't take Vera's picture. I'm not that great of a rat photographer. xD My friend Lisa took it - she's an actual photographer and she has lots of rats that she photographs daily. Her rat photos are on her tumblr here. (Ignore the first webcam photo, but the rest are great!)

On her tumblr it says that your rat is hers...?

No, not quiet.

The second one is Blaze’s poor decision.

Correct, Vera is mine. Lisa and I went out and bought rats on the same day - She got Courage the double rex dumbo boy, and I got Vera.

{I have two sleepy, not-so-little rats on my shoulders .3. Remy and Bowser had plenty of exercise this morning, and now they're napping on me <3}
{Well, now they both have some discharge, but it's a lot better than it was. That stuff seems to be working. It should. It's pet-friendly, and someone used it on their cat's discharge. Cleared up within a week. So we'll just keep on keeping on :3 Thankfully, there has been no more blood, or whatever, in their bedding or anywhere. Happy about that.}

I wsh I could get rats or/and ferrets bt mu says that he ratsstik and errets bite :(

Bringing this up from a few pages back.. things like 'this animal bites, you can't have it' is ridiculous. Anything with a mouth can bite. Dogs bite. Cats bite. My gecko bites. You can bite. Your siblings/parents/relatives can bite. It's not a good excuse to not get an animal.
I've never owned a rat, however, I've heard the smell can be reduced by frequent cage cleanings, and I've heard that the use of a product called 'Kennel Fresh' can help, plus I've heard the smell described as 'barny', personally I don't mind that smell. XD Anyways, if you're keeping the rats in your room, your mom doesn't have to smell the rats.

{Don't feel bad, my mom was the same way x3 Mostly the smell was an issue. Then she saw them, and she changed her mind. I have a bedding that reduces the smell, so it's hardly noticable.}
{Speaking of bedding, what is the best kind? I've heard ceder is bad, but a friend used it for their mouse and it was just fine... I have pine, but I don't know how good that is. I've heard on here aspen is best, but I don't think we can get any here. What should I do?}

Do you have a Petco or Petsmart or some other big petstore nearby? They should have aspen, if it's not in the rodent section check the reptile section, I'd think it'd be the same stuff.

{We have a PetSmart, but it's an hour away. I'll check at the local WalMart, and at the place where I got my rats before going all that way. I know to keep an eye out, though :3}

Personally I wouldn't buy Walmart stuff unless it was guaranteed to be dust free - for reptiles dust could cause respiratory infections which would be icky to take care of. D: I know rats can get RIs, too, and I'd avoid anything that could be dusty.
On pine and cedar, it's toxic to reptiles and on rat caresheets I've read, if I remember correctly, it can be harmful to them as well.
I've never actually owned rats, but I was interested in owning them at one point, and did a decent amount of research, just so you know..

{I can bet that explains everything that's going on with my boys. Makes sense. Thanks for the info! I'll get aspen as soon as I can, from somewhere good...}
