" Uh oh. What do we do then? I think your going to have to get out of the race. We still have Skadi." Spirit barked with joy when they passed another team.

"I can still run!" Winter protested. She pulled harder than ever and ignored the numbness.

Sweety looks at them and flicks her tail slightly

Yeti's eyes were filled with worry, " are you sure?" Spirit decided when the race was over, she was going to talk to Max.

Skadi ran up next to Winter, hearing the commotion.
"It's okay, let me take over. There's no shame in taking a rest. I can help us keep moving, and you can relax in the sled for a while until you can get warm again! When your ready, just yelp and start limping so that the musher knows, the rest of us can slow down while he changes us out but we can catch back up!"
