The name should be: Lin (From Chinese 林 "forest" or 琳 "fine jade, gem".)
I will use it to/as: A charrie. He'll take his place on the 'adopted characters' section of my charrie thread. when I finish it ^^'
It's personality is like: In three words; Quiet, educated, and watchful. Lin isn't really the social type. He prefers to spend his day in the woods, beneath the dappled sunlight streaming through the trees, listening to the sounds of the forest. Often times he brings a book just sits in his favorite tree, reading for hours on end, surrounded by nature. But he has to leave eventually, and when he does, he changes completely. In the forest, Lin is a confident, funny, and bold. Outside the forest, though, he's quiet, shy and meek. He has few friends and spends lots of time studying, drawing, and dreaming about the forest. At all times, Lin is respectful and cultured.
I want it cuz: He's beautiful! I love the colors and design, especially the green gradient on it's lower half. All the colours you chose go well together without being 'too much.'
I have read the rules: yup, ofc!
Fanart I've made if it:
Lin's friends (the few he had) always said he breathed the forest. They said that if you could see his mind, he would be green and leafy, just like the trees he spent so much time in.
Lin knew this to be true. Completely, inescapably, true. And he wouldn't have it any other way.
That day, Lin was sitting in his favorite tree, identifying bird sounds. His eyes were closed as quiet chirps echoed through the trees.
CCAAAWWWWW!!Lin nearly fell off his branch, so surprised was he by the scream.
"Wuh??" Thank the gods it wasn't a scarfblob scream, but a bird's cry of pain. There was only one thing to do in this situation.
Lin climbed down the tree as fast as his feet would let him and ran towards the scream.
CCCCCAAAAAWWWWWWWW!!!Within moments, he had found the source. It was a jay, a green jay, if he remembered correctly, in the middle of a clearing, one wing spread on the ground as if broken. In front of it was a fox.
She. In front of her. Lin realized that she was feigning the broken wing to draw the fox away from her nest perched high up in a nearby tree. But something was wrong. The fox wasn't moving, neither to the nest nor the mother.
Lin glanced towards the tree. Oh, what a clever bugger. Stealthily climbing the tree, was another fox. The first fox was a decoy, to distract the mother! He had to act. Now.
Lin charged the tree, shouting. The fox startled, glancing first at the full nest, then at Lin, before deciding that there were plenty other nests in the forest, and bolted. Lin spun to the other fox, but it was already gone. The mother jay had retreated to her nest, sheltering her hatchlings.
He smiled. A job well done, and an animal safe. The foxes wouldn't be coming around her any more.
Lin bowed to the mother. "Your chicks are safe for now," he said, and left, back to his tree and back to his books.
