I really dont think its the pet fault but the people wanting said pet and what some people think they can get for it. With CS growing and new players its going to get hard to feed the demand on payers. Back when CS first started out we didnt have to trade an arm and leg for pets. Heck half of my 08 early 09 pets where given to me free....which sadly you cant get that to much now.

It could be a dog next time and the demand is just the same if not more since its a dog. Im personally not a real dog fan for art, though I do collect them. I really enjoy the dragons, lions and horses more then all the others and try to make it a point to seek and have all of them. The only animals I OVER pay for would be a OMG horse, zebra, dragon and lion that is hard to get.

With more people on CS the pets worth is just going to keep going up just like our sucky economy going up in price and never seeming to go back down. That is whats happening to CS the good old day of just trading a few or couple pets for one is no longer

I think this is because some of the newer players are seeing the older one's high trade and auction prices, and because people are actually willing to pay '08 pets for the lions, they believe that they can do the same thing. Their auctions are successful and all of the sudden we're finding ourselves in a downward spiral. Then in their next auction, they'll probably try to ask for a little more, and if it works, they will just keep bumping up the autos. As long as people continue to offer '08 and '09 rares and very rares, for pets that might be rare or very rare, the price demand for new pets is never going to go down.

This isn't just with the lions either, I saw some outrageous autos for the Aquarium, pirate dogs, and even the pps Calico from last month. I'm not even going to bother trying to get this lion. I didn't bother last month either. It's just not worth my giving up older pets for it. They can have their lions. I have myself an orange tabby and I love her to death!!

I think they are cute! I still wish they came out, and plus we can't really change it. :3 But I agree. People are like animals trying to get them. It is probably only going to become a rare.
