Veru's favorite color is deep red, because he thinks of it

Habitat:
Veru lives in the middle of Canada's forests. He favors cold rather than heat.
Short Story:
"Hey. You in there? Get up." Veru brong his head up silently, perking his ears
up and his eyes alert. He kept in that position quietly, waiting for the mysterious
stranger to speak again.
"Get up. Come out," the voice ordered again, angrier than the last time. Veru
stood in his little den, and peered out.
There stood a tall weird-looking brown and yellow creature with horns and
long claws. This creature looked threatful, so Veru quickly re-ran fighting moves
inside his head just in case.
The creature sat down, and blinked. "Hi," it said nicely. Veru squinted at it.
"Come with me. Someone needs to speak to you." Standing up, and creature
slowly walked away, looking back often to check if Veru was following. Cautiously,
Veru followed him, his belly low to the ground. He wondered where this creature
was taking him, and who had to speak to him.
