Xavier stopped gazing at the calming forest around him, his pace slowing even further until he paused all together. He glanced over his shoulder, lifting his muzzle as the metallic smell of blood was carried to him by the wind. The large grey, brown and white wolf snorted lightly, nostrils flaring at the fading scent. Must have been nothing. Xavier thought silently and turned his attention to the left, ears twitching slightly and eyes scanning the area around him. If he wasn't mistaken, someone was coming closer.

Bailey came out of her room, standing at the railing. She looked around to see if anybody was nearby, but found nothing. As her gaze rested on Emmett in the living room, she decided to go and talk to him. Walking down the stairs, she spoke up and said, "Hey, Emmett. Want some company?" Not even waiting for a response, she sat down across from him, she asked, "Where's everybody else? This place feels so empty."

"Holed up in their rooms, I suppose," Emmett replied absently, his legs crossed as he stared at the wall, lost in thought. "I guess they decided to take this whole vampire thing to the extreme, maybe." Emmett's pale-blue eyes were thoughtful, his head tilted slightly, his ginger hair tousled.
