"The" Rares List Guide - Do not ask about new UR's!

I mean, this list is built on trading experience, litter outcome rarity and knowledge. It's not
like this list is here for speculation. This list is here because a lot of people put a lot of work
into compiling the list - not because it is a 'this is how I think the rarities should work' topic.

personally i understand this, but you should understand too that there is a lot of complaining about 'how people do not want to swap pets within one line' and 'cancel fair trades', so im sure we need to update the rares list a bit according to the demand...

I've basically been here since this list was made, and been present through all
the changes that have been done. I fully support updating the list to keep up
with the trends.

But I don't support people waltzing in here saying that everything/whole sections should be
changed to fit their personal preferences.

Like i said on the previous page, it's just spam if you post here without a valid point. (i mean this about the 'updated' list that was posted.)

Updates to the list happen. But just because demand is bad for something for a few weeks, doesn't mean it should be moved down. We look at both rarity and demand, not just demand. If this was a demand list, the July lion would be right up there next to the Ur tiger by now. And it would be removed in a few weeks. Since that's what demand does. It goes up and down. It's unfair to say something deserves to be moved down because it has no demand now, while it did have demand a few months ago. It takes time to see what demand really does. Cake dogs for example, i remember them being in demand around this time last year. Did we move them up? no. Are we going to move them down now that there is no demand? No. Not yet. Maybe in time, but certainly not yet. And that goes for Grinners, pink septembers and so on. They are all in demand a certain time of the year. Grinners gain demand during CS's birthday, each year. Sure, it dies down a few months after that, but there will always be a new CS birthday the following year, so moving them down and up would be pointless.

Demand is a silly thing.

I heard that the green yin yang dog from '08 might be joining the advent list. If it is, would it create a new tier below the bottom existing one, and join with a few other pets, or would it go straight into the bottom tier?

Mweh, i personally don't think that they need to be on the list. They aren't that rare, and it's commonly known that they can be swapped for scarf dogs, no need to add it. But that's up to Hekomi.
