Azalea felt dark rage crawling through her body. She didn't like the tone in Taylor's voice, it was almost... gleeful. She felt a shudder run through her body. The cold rain and hail hit her, ice cold. She clutched onto her remaining throwing knives, and waited, scarily patient. Azalea held onto her sliver of hope, even though she remembered that Taylor was once in the career pack. She made it this far, she could make it home. Azalea's gaze was like sharp daggers, her good eye working hard to see every detail. Her ears were listening quietly, for any sound other then the patter of rain and hail. Her body was tense, and in a good fighting stance. She was ready to leap out of the way at any second. Azalea's anger and sadness and hope fueled her, she could hear the beat of her heart hard against her chest. She felt hot blood pumping through her ears, her adrenaline high.

Taylor winced. She didn't want to hurt Azalea, but there was nothing she could do if she wanted to go home. Bracing herself, she gripped Azalea's knife tightly, and threw it towards her. There was a slim chance she could move in time, but you never knew. Tributes do have talent after all.

She watched the knife leave her hand, but no more. she couldn't stay if she wanted to escape without a painful cut, or stab wound. Never mind how hard she threw it, but either way, Taylor made her way silently to the opposite side of the ring, pain erupting through her ankle once again. She knew just then it was only adrenaline and sheer willpower keeping her alive. Her adrenaline was waning slowly, but her willpower was stronger than ever. The mouse was going to escape as best as she could. Whether the escape meant death or not, the mouse would leave.

Azalea heard one tiny movement, one she couldn't believe her ears were able to pick up. She whirled around just in time to see her stone knife whizzing right toward her. She leapt to the side, the knife snagging in her shirt and falling into the mud with a soft plop. She fell too, her body covered in cold mud. She immediately got up, eyes darting around for the final tribute. When she tried to search for the knife briefly, she couldn't find it in the thick cold earth. She knew it was a goner. She felt a dull ache on her side where the knife had been caught, but luckily, it had only bruised her and sliced through her shirt. She wouldn't need it anyway. Azalea kept her hope to win, her body muddy and messy. She watched as brown and purple skin appeared where the knife had hit her. She could hear Taylor's carefully planned but a bit loud movements. Azalea knew this was only because of that ankle. She grabbed one of her other stone knives, hurling it straight for Taylor, aiming for her body so she could get a good direct hit. Azalea quickly stumbled back, running to the opposite side, her knife and dagger shining with a million diamonds. They seemed even more wickedly sharp then ever in her mind. Azalea ignored the pain in her side, letting herself concentrate on going home, with a beating heart. She would not let her fear overcome her, because then she would surely be killed.

First of all, I commemorate you two for RPing out a fight scene and managing to avoid power-play. Haven't seen that too often. :P
