So many trades look almost exactly like this... I really don't think that cat is going to be rare but apparently no one shares my thoughts. I'm overpaying... I think? Also they cancel with no message a lot.

Just sent a a series of trades to someone for a pet.
First two got canceled, not a biggie, expected it.
Third one got accepted. Was excited until I looked and saw I forgot to add the pet in on their side >B|
Now I have to try to get my junk back from them

If you had a message in the trade clearly stating you intended to trade your pets for theirs, you can post in the Problems and Suggestions forum and see about getting it reversed. If you try PMing the other person or sending a trade back for your pets first.

What was the trade out of curiosity? Like, what did you want and what did you offer and lose?
