Yes you can, and same thing in SoulSilver you can catch Ho-Oh :3
Although you have to get the Rainbow Wing/Silver Wing from a man in Pewter City, then I think you have to talk to the Kimono Girls again in Johto. I have the Rainbow Wing, but I haven't talked to the Kimono Girls yet.

anybody going to fight red be prepared not only for him but for the treck up my. silver for him. here are stuff you need and suggestions

1:bring about 20 max repel
2: if no repel bring 1 pokemon at least level 70
3: max potions for pokemon battles
4: escape ropes
5: rock climb
6: a good choice is something to combat reds team (my team is... quagsire (lvl 88) vs pikachu (lvl 88)
dragonite(85) vs snorlax(85?), typlosion(88) vs venusaur(84), fraliatr(88) vs charizard(84), meganuim(88) vs blastious (84) and rotom (lawn mower form) vs lapras (80 somthing) if your woundering why quagsire vs pikachu its because electric attacks dont hurt quagsire. i have 2 dragonites and if you want a level 84 dragonite pm me with offer

If you have any of the Game Boy Advance games (Like Sapphire and FireRed), then you can migrate your Pokemon over there. It could help you a lot ^_^

I got the game today :3 After getting many "sold out's" in overpriced gamestores, I pick up a really cheap copy in Asda (English Wal-Mart)

I had a bit of trouble beating the first gym, since Falkner pwned my Chikorita just after she had poisoned the second pidgey, so I had to hang in there with a Lv11 Pidgey.

The Pokewalker thing is quite nifty too, since I walk alot <3
