Do I need a release spell for Silver to attract other Lytes? Thanks

Nope! He's already released. :3 To attract Lytes there are two things you could do:
1. wait and hope that they show up or,
2. buy and attraction spell which you will find in the list of spells available at the spell shop. ^^

"Hey there, Wishes!" I called to my Lyte. "Have you seen any other Lytes?" I glanced around. "None yet. I wonder when they will come. But I don't mind waiting."

Good idea! ^^(its cheaper! :3) Also, interacting and having fun with your Lyte makes the other Lytes see that you're a great owner and that attracts them faster!

Wishes frisks about in the little clearing. He makes a sharp fizzing sound that almost sounds like a bark which almost seems to say "Play with me!"

"Um.. how abou a stick?" I picked one up and tossed it.

Wishes is after the stick in a moment and finds it a little distance away. She appears to look at it confusedly, as if wondering why she chased it in the first place. She now nuzzles it tentatively, but her nose doesn't appear to have any affect on the wood. It remains where it fell.
Wishes looks back at you, head cocked, and lets out a high pitch fizzing sound.

"Can't pick up the stick, huh? Guess we'll have to find some other activity." A say, amused by the fizzing noise.
