Smallfrost looked up from where she was sharing a rabbit with Patchfang and Moonheart. "We'll come too." Smallfrost meowed, getting to her paws. "So will I." Rosepetal meowed from beside the nursery, where she was playing with Butterkit and Cloudkit, who had pleaded her to play with them.

Shadepaw pressed against her father.

[walk.]

Emberheart shut his eyes fearfully, gulping lightly. He pressed against his daughter. He awaited his punishment. He was terrified to be fair.

Yellowsparrow mewed, "We'll charge straight on into battle!" Daisyflower frowned and mewed in her tingling voice, "I think we should take a more tactful approach, it would be more effective and much more safe."

[wolf ;;]

Rosepetal made Cloudkit and Butterkit go to the nursery before she looked at the others. "We should try not to look like a threat, we should ask for Emberheart and Shadepaw to come back. If they don't give them back, we attack."

Shadepaw glanced at the StormClan leader, her tail trembled.

[walk.]

Daisyflower nodded and mewed, "That is more what I had in mind." Yellowsparrow scoffed and said, "Like they'll just give the deputy of the clan back like that!" Daisyflower's eyes flashed and she said, "Do you have a better idea?!" Yellowsparrow swiftly shook his head and she growled softly.

Emberheart looked at the ground and muttered, "Do your worst Mudstar..."

Shadepaw looked small compared to the other cats, her amber eyes gazed at the leader as she waited for Mudstar to speak.

Rosepetal nodded. "Well, lets go then, Sandyfern is waiting for us by the border!" Firepetal meowed, and she padded out of camp. Rosepetal, Smallfrost, Patchfang and Moonheart followed.

Emberheart looked at the warriors, they were all sneering. He lowered his head in shame and winced as one cat spat at him.


Yellowsparrow nodded and shot ahead of Firepetal. Daisyflower rolled her eyes and padded at a perfect pace after the elder warriors. She still felt like the baby, despite being 10 moons older than her, she was only the same size as Shadepaw.

Shadepaw growled and her tail lashed once, when the warrior spat at Emberheart, the small black she-cat tackled the cat and spat.

"Yellowsparrow, get back here!" Rosepetal called after the tom. "Unless you want to be ripped to shreds by StormClan." Firepetal padded towards the border. Smallfrost, Moonheart and Patchfang followed.

Emberheart snatched at her tail and tugged her back and muttered, "Don't... We are trying not to come across as a threat." he looked up at Mudstar with terrified eyes.

Yellowsparrow sighed and ran back towards Rosepetal. Daisyflower giggled and said, "It seems you are the only who can put him in his place besides myself!"

Shadepaw growled and she looked at her father before glaring at the StormClan cats.

Rosepetal nodded and she flickered her tail as she saw Sandyfern in the distance. "There's Sandyfern." She meowed, Sandyfern looked up and saw the patrol.
