Froststar padded around camp in deep thought.She had to choose a deputy before the next gathering, and the next gathering was only 4 days away.She shook her head and went to find Clawtouch."Clawtouch!" she purred."I need you to take out a border patrol please" she mewed.


Clawtouch nodded and looked around camp, wondering who to take on a border patrol."Nightstone, Mousepaw, Bearpaw and Mothpelt I need you to come on a border patrol with me!" he yowled.


The two apprentices tumbled out of the apprentice den, bounding over to Clawtouch."Yipee! Our first patrol!" cried Bearpaw looking around for his mentor and Nightstone.He wanted to go now, he had been looking forward to his first patrol ever since he became an apprentice.


Mothpelt lifted his head and looked out of the warrior den.He sighed and heaved himself up, joining the patrol outside."I was sleeping" he groaned shaking his head.

NightStone walked out of the warrior's den and she Yawned. " Coming BearPaw" she said.

Clawtouch smiled and nodded, turning to leave camp."Come on then you lot" he mewed before sprinting out of camp.Mousepaw laughed and chased after his mentor quickly, but Bearpaw and Mothpelt waited for Nightstone."Bunch of crazy mouse-brains" muttered Mothpelt looking back at Nightstone."Coming?" he asked, starting to pad forward.


Froststar glanced nervously at the patrol as they left.She looked at Mothpelt, then Nightstone.The two warrior were both serious, and at the same time friendly.She shook her head and padded into her den to think about it.

NightStone smiled and Ran Past her. " yea. lets go before we loose them." she said.

Mothpelt nodded in agreement and sprinted after Clawtouch and Mousepaw."Wait up!" grumbled Bearpaw sprinting after the patrol.They soon caught up with Clawtouch, but Mousepaw was nowhere to be seen."Where's my sister?" mewed Bearpaw nervously.Suddenly, Mousepaw jumped out behind the cats yowling, "Haha got ya all!"

Clawtouch smiled, but he soon caught a scent he didn't want to smell.She lifted his nose and scented the air again to be sure.He looked across the border, only to see Darkstar


Darkstar had left camp to check the borders.He looked up to see a Snowclan border patrol and growled."What are you looking at?" he spat.Darkstar hated Snowclan the most out of all the clans that lived in the forest.He was about to leave, when he saw a flash of orange."Fox!" he yowled.


A young fox appeared behind the warriors.It growled and pounced at Nightstone.
