"I know. But if I were them, I'd take the weaker one too. I mean, think about it. Would you want to go against Joey?" He ran a hand through his hair in distress. "It's for revenge over Leah, Seth. I'm almost positive. And I'm guessing that whoever lost Leah wants us to go through a loss too." He gulped. "A life for a life."

Lily continued, her voice soft and gentle as her gaze remained on Cole. "It hurts, Cole. I know. I lost my best friend in the entire world not all that long ago. It was in the bombing is District Twelve." She swallowed the lump in her throat. "She was like my sister. For a while, I couldn't believe it. Then I got really angry, and almost wished that whoever had done it would pay. But then I realized that even though I missed her, she was in a better place."

Seth frowned nervously, pacing back and forth in constant movement as he took in what Tyler was saying. He flinched at the thought of going against Joey and shuddered, grimacing at the thought before sighing and shaking his head. "Then we have to do something!" He stated immediately, stopping to look at Tyler.

Cole sighed lowly and shook his head lowly in reply, still glowering at the surroundings outside of the vehicle while his arms crossed over his chest. "And why're you telling me all of this? It's not like I'm the one who wants to kidnap and kill you- I'm just a freakin' tag along." He mumbled, "It's not like I'm the one who's gonna lock you in a room to die of starvation of something, or.." He trailed off, slightly disgusted in himself and the two guys, who were once again glaring daggers at him, for putting this girl in danger.

"I know!" Tyler exclaimed in distress.

"You can change this," she whispered so only Cole could hear. "You don't think you can, but you can. You have the power to do it."

"Then think! I'm only fourteen! I don't know what to do!" Seth stated in alarm, immediately beginning his panicked pacing against as he stared at the ground, despair rolling off of his body in waves. "What if they're hurting her right now! What if she's dead?! What if they lock her up somewhere to rot!?" He stuttered, the wild horror-story thoughts tumbling from his mouth in swift questions.

Cole frowned quietly and stared out the window, hearing Lily but not bothering to she he had since he wasn't quite looking forward to being smacked in the back of the head or to be told to shut up again.

"I know! Just calm down, freaking out doesn't help," Tyler demanded, then started thinking, pacing around nervously.

"Cole, please," she whispered to him, her eyes pleading. "Let me go. I have a family, Cole. Please."

Seth frowned quietly and nodded, trying to focus on breathing more normally and stopping his trembling hands.

Cole frowned silently and slid a glance in Lily's direction and gave a faint nod. Alright, so he would try to help her. He just had to wait until dumb and dumber parked the van and fell asleep for the night for he could get her away.

Tyler looked at him. "Are you okay?" he asked, noticing his trembling hands.

Relief filled her, and she gave him a grateful look, then sat back in the van again.

Seth paused and looked at Tyler as if he were honestly questioning his sanity."Do I look okay to you?" He answered in panic, leaning back against a nearby wall and closing his eyes tightly.

Cole sighed faintly, aware if the trouble he was bound to get or for helping her, and rested his eyes, leaving back against the seat.

Tyler sighed. "She means a lot to me too, Seth. I know. We're going to get her back home, I promise."

Lily went back to hugging her knees in the back, relieved that Cole was there.

Seth frowned worriedly and nodded, crossing his arms and sighing lowly, "Alright." He breathed.
