Owner Name:
iSolar
Name:
Ramses
Gender:
Male
Personality:
Territorial
Ramses needs his personal space. If he's in a bad mood, stay at least 20 feet away from him! He won't attack, but he'll make some pretty weird and nasty noises.
Protective
This rune protects his belongings with his life. Really, he won't let you have a old piece of plastic without fighting for it. He is obsessed with collecting everything, and plans to keep everything. Don't try to take anything from him! He will also protect his owner and the people/rune dragons he loves.
Battle-Loving
Ramses loves to put up a fight! If his foe is too strong for him,he will fly away, hissing in annoyance, to plan revenge. This vengeance usually takes place a day or two after a battle. He might attack, or he may reek vengeance in another way...
Darkness-Loving
He has all the advantages in the dark! His winning-a-fight rate is much higher at night or in dark places.Blending in with the shadows, he is like a ninja in the dark.
Caring
If he loves someone, he'll try to make them feel better if they are sick or sad. He may sit with them, bring a 'gift' (nothing that you'd really use much, but still, it's hard for him to not put whatever it is in his collection)or just chirp softly beside them.
Curious
He is interested in almost everything! He loves to learn everything! He also is confused by the television, as he is unsure what it is and what its purpose is. He is eager to find out.
Loyal
Once he has his owner, he won't go to a different owner and stay with them. Unless if they owner betrays them or abandons him, he is happily locked with his owner forever.
Greedy
Ramses, with his obsession of collecting everything, can be greedy at times. He wants everything for his big collection of odd things. If you offer him a pencil that's been snapped in half and has no eraser, he would snatch it from your hands and run away with it.
Eats Anything
Yes, he's a big eater. He will eat any food that you offer him. He seems to have a major liking towards s'mores and nachos.
Why do you wish to have him/her:
This rune is beautiful! I am truly fascinated by him. I am very interested in the Egyptian culture and this rune just seems so... perfect. I love the markings on his wings and all of his colors. The colors mix beautifully and the poisonous spines on his wings are a great, no, amazing, addition to the perfection of this beautiful rune. I also have no runes. I'd be honored if I could own this rune as my very own.
I am also strangely obsessed with rune dragons. After many tries,I haven't gotten one yet. I want to have a rune dragon for real instead of dreaming about it and writing about them in my stories, below, in the 'other' section. The story below actually took about three hours to write, not including the time I took to fill in the other sections.I would really, really love to have this guy.
Where will you keep him/her:
Basically, everywhere. In my sig, and in a rune dragon character thread if I get at least two runes. I will write lots of stories about him and his on goings, with or without me.
Would you like to breed him/her in the feature:
Yes, of course! I would love to see what our extraordinary artists can create!
Any Quirks:
He loves hoarding things from platinum to greasy fast-food wrappers. I bought him a shed to store his stuff in. That whole shed is basically filled up with all of his belongings, just one space set aside for him to sit in and admire his loot. He may sit there for hours, rearranging his stuff, or he may just stare at it.
Other:
Two men drove their jeep through the desert. Even though they had the air conditioning on, they were still dripping with sweat. The hot tires crunched against the scorching sand. Smelly exhaust poured from the back of the jeep. The men drove, not talking, through the desert. They were only here for one reason: they wanted to steal the precious gold from the pyramids and tombs. They pulled up at a pyramid and got out of their jeep. Two small, glowing red eyes in the tomb flashed open at the sound of the slam of doors. The men walked into the tomb, boasting about how rich they'd be after finding these artifacts. A low growl from behind a coffin made the men turn around in shock. Suddenly, the rune dragon burst from the shadows and gave a bloodcurdling screech. His long, purple tongue lolled from its mouth as its four-inch-long teeth were targeted to fasten onto one of the man's arm. His spines shifted and got ready to sink into the other man's face. He grabbed onto one of the man's arms and began sinking his teeth into is flesh. He felt warm blood dripping into his mouth. Screaming, the man swung his arm to try to remove the rune dragon from his bleeding arm. The man that stood beside all of this grabbed his sack and enclosed the rune in it. He pulled its teeth out of the man's arm, but with lots of pain to the man with the bleeding arm. He quickly tied the sack shut, with a screeching, snarling, hissing, rolling creature inside. After getting the rune, they ran to the jeep quickly to wrap a bandage around the bleeding man's arm. They tossed the rune in the sack into a Styrofoam box in the trunk, then closed the box's lid. Then, they sealed it with two layers of duct tape. After that, they grabbed another sack and robbed the tomb. They hopped into the jeep and drove out of the desert, boasting about how they captured the rune and how much gold and treasure they got.
Once they were out of the desert and in the city to sell there artifacts, they opened up the box and took out the sack containing the rune. They opened up one of the windows and tossed the rune outside, down an ally. A painful screech echoed through the ally as the poor rune was smashed into a garbage can. The men burst into laughter, closed the window, and drove away.
The rune dragon shook his head painfully. Blood flowed from one of his wings. He hissed a little then laid down. He was hurting everywhere. He was starving and thirsty. He screeched as loud as he could.
About a half of an hour later, he heard a car pull into the alley. He shifted, and then got up, making the sack move. He heard the car door slam and footsteps getting nearer. He hissed, agitated. The bag was lifted into the air, causing the angry rune to screech. He tumbled around in the sack, now that he was off of the ground, and lost his footing. He fell onto his back. He gave a low growl. The bag was opened and it revealed the face of a woman. The rune dragon hissed in fury.He wanted to fly up and attack, but he was in too much pain and his wing was bleeding. "Oh, poor little rune, looks like you've been taken from your home. I heard your screeching. I know what Tomb Guardian Runes sound like!" she said. "I bet it was tomb robbers who did this to you, huh? Tomb robbers... I hate them so." she mumbled. "Well, let's fix you up in the shelter, lil' guy. There's one just for rune dragons around here, you are lucky!" She told him. He twisted around and snarled. "I know, I know, you poor little rune." she cooed softly. She closed the sack back up, got in the car, and rushed to the rune shelter.
Once they arrived there, the woman walked up to a counter. "Hello, I've found a Tomb Guardian Rune in an alley. He needs his wings fixed. I think tomb robbers threw him away like this." The man behind the counter nodded. "They always do that. They don't care about 'em. I'll take this poor little guy to the vets' rooms. After he is healed, would you like to adopt him?" The woman sighed. "I would love to, but I already have a few runes and they are too much work already. Is it okay if if you could put him up for adoption here?" The man blinked. "Certainly! Let's get this rune to the vets' rune before he loses too much blood." The woman nodded. "Thank you, sir." she murmured in relief. Then, she left, wishing the rune good luck and a good home.
The rune dragon heard shoes scrunching against the cold tile floor. He heard a door creek open.He was now in a vet's office. He heard the man's voice. "This rune dragon needs surgery. Tomb robbers found him."the man said. The vet sighed. "Alright. Hand 'em over." He felt himself being transferred to different hands and footsteps fading away as the counter man went back to work. He was taken from the sack. The rune screeched at the top of his lungs. The noise echoed through the entire building, creating a wave of chirping coming back from the other runes as if they were communicating. "It's okay, it's okay." the vet murmured, petting his head, trying to calm him down. "I'm trying to help you. This might hurt, little guy, so I'm sorry. But you'll feel better after this." The rune dragon screeched once more as he felt a needle prick his skin. He felt liquid coursing through his veins. He suddenly felt numb and tired, let out a soft, reluctant hiss, then feel asleep.
****
He woke up. All of the pain was gone. No more blood flowed from his wing. He felt fresh and alive. He thought he was back in his tomb, but to his surprise, he was in a cage. There was food and water in two bowls for him. He looked around. Humans were everywhere, cooing to the runes in other cages that they were examining. He focused on a young boy smiling at a young Cave and Crevice rune. "I want this one! I want this one, Mama!" The boy yelled joyfully as he pointed at the lucky rune. The newly adopted rune flapped its wings wings joyfully and chirped. A staff walked up to the cage and took the rune out. "Thank you for giving a rune a home." the man said happily. He handed the rune to the boy. "Yay!" The boy said happily. The rune chirped and began its new, happy life. As he watched the Cave and Crevice rune leave the adoption center with joy and its new owner, he realized that all humans weren't bad. A girl walked up to him. "Ooo, you are so awesome looking! I want you!" she said, examining his colors. He chirped happily. Until the girl's mother walked up to the cage. "No, Lizzy, those kinds are poisonous. How 'bout that little Lemur Rune? He's cute!" The girl sighed. "But Mom, I-" She was cut off."I said no! It's going to poison you! Get a different one!" her mother said. The girl sighed."Sorry, little guy. I really want you but my mom doesn't like you..." she said as she slowly walked away. He blinked. Was he going to stay here forever because of his poison?

About five days later, a woman walked up to him. "Wow! A Tomb Guardian Rune?! I can't believe you haven't been taken yet! I'll adopt you!" she said, overjoyed. Another woman came over. "So you want this little boy?" the woman asked. "Yes." she answered. "Alright, just watch out for his poison. Thanks for adopting him!" the woman said happily, taking him out. He chirped with pure joy. He was handed over to his new owner. "I'll name you... Ramses! Do you like that name?" she asked him. "Cheeerup!" he chirped, signifying a 'yes'. "Alright, Ramses! You are going to love your new life." Ramses did not need to be told that, for he already knew he would have a good life the second he heard the women's joyful voice.
