What Is a Piccolo Dragon?
A Piccolo Dragon, otherwise known as a PD, is a small and cuddly creature that loves attention and is a fun-loving animal. They hatch from small, spherical egg, about the size of a golf ball. Piccolo Dragons eat fish, any edible berry, apples, bananas, grapes, mangos, lettuce, carrots, leaves, and grass. They have natural and soft colors, though there are rare times when it has brighter patterns. They can grow to about the size of a large cat, but some don’t grow bigger than a weasel or ferret. Their fur is short, but sleek and soft, until you get to their tail tuft, which is long and fluffy. The adoption limit is four dragons, no more.
Piccolo Dragons are known to be shy and allusive animals, but can adapt to live in the wild or amung humans.
Dragons that stick out in the wild normally have thier own little family which they tend to stay by. These families can be from two to twenty PDs at once! Not all are related, and PDs find a friendly bond with another very quickly. The general group name has not been given yet, as we are still working on that.
These shy creatures don't usually stay shy for long if you get to know them! This is one reason why they make entirely suitable pets. They can be adopted from once they are born or at an older age. If a dragon is adopted at birth, it will have a special bond only with that person, and it is hard to break it. Keeping your dragon happy is a big thing. If they are neglected from food, water, attention, grooming, exercise, love, and socializing, your dragon can turn lonely and reclusive. A PD should never be alone for long if they are as pets. Furniture and food can be of the essence if that happens. They tend to get rowdy and try to amuse themselves. A PD owner should learn thier dragons' personality from the start of adoption. This will help in the care of a dragon and how it is raised to socialize with other species and dragons.
Communicatting with other animals is a species hobby that the Piccolo dragon has picked up. If they see a smaller animal of any kind, they will parent it as they would thier own young. All Piccolo Dragons are differrent from another. Thier markings sometimes tell thier personality and such.
Some PDs are able to read, but others seem to find it time wasting; where they would rather be physically playing than reading. No, PDs can not speak languages other than thier own. But, they can understand other if it is shown to them. Sometimes a curious dragon will attempt to make the word sounds a human makes, but they are feeble attempts at that.
Deep inside Piccolo dragon, they contain small, dull orbs deep inside their chest, between their heart and neck called Ulindi. They can be considered or called “second heart” or “second chance,” since the dragons will continue to live if their own heart is damaged or removed. But if it is removed, some of thier fun-loving spirit is taken too.
These Ulindi can offer the PD the form of flying, or floating. They are able to control thier Ulindi so that they can move any way in the air they would like.
Piccolo Dragons can never have wings, magical powers, or super powers.
The Life of a Piccolo Dragon
Piccolo Dragons hatch from a small, spherical egg, about the size of a golf ball. The base color and design of the egg can sometimes tell the personality of a PD and what it will look like. Baby PDs are about the size of a small rat to a regular sized rat. Mother PDs can only have a litter of two to three Piccolo Dragons every six months. The dragons marking when they are hatched are light and almost invisible. As they grow older, thier markings will become more vibrant and reflecting of the dragons' personality. During the span of when they are born to when they can trod along by themselves, they cling onto thier mother or fathers' back. Soft insects, fruits, and vegetables are fed to the young dragons, though thier teeth can handle tougher things.
At the age of three years, Piccolo dragons are no longer considered a baby, but a child. They can walk by themsleves and adventure near thier home; But if they get tired, there is still the option of thier parents' backs to rest. They enjoy adventuring and are normally very curious when it comes to other animals or new places. Getting into mischief is what these furballs enjoy doing.They soon learn how to eat thier own foods and socialize with other animals, to learn wgat is right to do and what is not.
At the age of five to ten years, Piccolo Dragons are considered teenagers. They are more laid back than the children, thinking that they know thier basic stuff. Food and mates are what these teens usually seek. Some are lucky if they find a mate to be with them the rest of thier life, but others will keep waiting until that special someone comes along. Teens PDs are not allowed to have a mate until they are ten years or older, though they can try and discover thier soulmates.
After ten years, a Piccolo Dragon is now an adult, They will soon find a life partner. The oldest adults of the family group are the Elders. They keep track of food and habitat choices to keep thier family safe. A Piccolo Dragton can live to sixty or seventy years old, but few live until they are seventy.
Breeding
An adult Piccolo Dragon will find a mate and they will stay together the rest of thier lives.
Female Piccolo Dragons can only lay a litter of two to three babies every six months. Some times there are twin Dragons and maybe even triplets but that is very rare.
A PD would take care of the egg as a bird would. The parents will take turns on the nest until it is hatched. But, if one mate is not there, a family member will come to help out until the egg hatches.
The egg will hatch in a span of three months.
