Ashtuft nodded, "good plan." He mewed, slowly padding towards the entrance of camp, hungry for battle. He looked towards Hazelstripe, crazy about the way the sun shone softly, almost perfectly, on her pelt. He sighed affectionately, a smirk creeping onto his muzzle.

Burntpath's face darkened, as if a shadow had suddenly spread over his muzzle. He frowned a bit, "Like a real badger.? The foul creature that killed my mother.?" He asked bitterly, digging his claws into the earth, eyes flaring up.

[detective who.]

Nightpaw took a step back, worried. "Um, yeah. A real badger. So are you in?" he asked nervously.

Burntpath's paws prickled with longing to avenge his mother. "Am I in.? Thats a non-witty question." He growled, stalking towards the entrance, tail lashing. When he reached the entrance to camp, his blue eyes burned with a threatening, flickering fire.

Hazelstripe admired the fact that Ashtuft was hungry for battle. She then glanced over at him and couldn't help smiling. She then saw burntpath and nightpaw padding over to the entrance. She followed them to the entrance and told them Where she and Nightpaw scented the badger. "We scented it by the east border. The scent was still fresh." she told them.

Ashtuft nodded, "Okay so-" He was cut off by a growl from burntpath, who ran out of camp at I'll speed.

Nightpaw glanced after Burntpath. "Should I go after him?" he asked nervously.

"Lets go." Hazelstripe confirmed. She then raced out of camp after Burntpath. She looked behind her to make sure Nightpaw and Ashtuft were following.

Nightpaw dashed after his mentor. "I can smell it!" he called as he passed her.

Hazelstripe felt a glow of pride in her apprentice then remembered what was going on. "Nightpaw!" she called after him catching up. "If I tell you to run, you run. If I tell you to leave and get renforcements, you go. If I tell you to leave me......." she paused and swallowed. "Leave me." she continued. "Got i-" she was then cut off by the yowl of burntpath.
