Asha examined Tara's paw. "Oh, don't worry!" she said, pulling out the thorn and tossing it aside. Out of a hole in the ground she took some ice wrapped up in human cloth. "Hold this on your sore paw for a while, and the pain should gradually go away."
She nosed over the icepack. "So, are you excited for the festival of Mura tonight?" she asked, trying to make conversation with her patient. "I hear her ghost herself is going to come down! I'm so excited! Well, I hope you feel better in time!"

Figuring her duties were done for a while, Asha headed over to the lake, swinging her black-tipped tail happily. She would finally get to meet her hero! Just think of the things she could learn! She jumped into the lake, and let the crystal-clear summer water flood over her. A swim was just what she needed! She dived underwater and caught a large salmon. "What a tasty dinner!" she thought. She greeted Thunderclap warmly and swam for a while until it was half an hour 'till the festival. She said good-bye to Thunderclap, dried off, and trotted back to her den, happier than she ever was before.
