The Boarian Lupus, commonly called Borfs Or Boar-Dogs. Is a Species that resembles a cross between a Wild Boar and a Wolf, but are not closely related to either. Wild Boar-Dogs reside in the vast, largely unexplored regions of Russia. They were discovered only recently by explores, who happened upon a group of them by accident. Initially fearing their large size and Intimidating grunts and growls , they ran. However, That night they set up camp without knowing the creatures had followed them. When they awoke in the morning they found that the Boar-dogs had come into their camp and guarded them while they slept. The Explorers were quite shocked to find that the animals neither feared nor showed aggression toward humans. Over the course of their exploration, they befriended these large beasts, learning about their diets and behavior. They brought a small group back with them and found them to be remarkably good pets. they have returned to that region to bring back more of them to breed and allow people to adopt.
Their Diet is Omnivorous, Meaning that they eat both plant matter and meat, Hunting in packs much like wolves, But will Scavenge from carcasses when neccecary. These creatures are most often found grazing, as they need to eat large quantities of food to power their large bodies. They will take food from the hand of a human only if it is offered to them, they will not steal it out of their bags.
Borfs travel in groups of 2-6, often consisting of two parents and their offspring, which range in age from adolescent to newborn. Young are called Puplets and stay in a den or burrow for the first few weeks of life. They are born blind and deaf, like most mammals. They will nurse from the mother for up to four months, but some young will take to meat and plants sooner than others. they can live to be up to 30, but the average lifespan is 25 years. Males Can grow to be about 36 inches tall and weigh up to 200 pounds, the females being slightly smaller and less bulky.

Boarian Lupines usually come in Earthy Browns, ranging from a sandy white to Nearly Black in color. However, Very Rarely an Albino (Ex, Leucistic (Ex) or Melanistic (Ex) Borf is born. They Have Very thick fur to Keep out the Cold Snow and ice, as well as protect them from injury in a fight.
We do not currently offer Custom Borfs, But we may do so In the future.
Boarian Lupines are a largely independent animal, and will usually find food for themselves, however you may provide food for them if you wish. They enjoy all kinds of meat and fruits, their favorite fruit is Watermelon, but they love Grapes and Apples too. They need a lot of room to run free, and should NEVER be kept in a cage, they despise that and will destroy the cage in order to escape. they do however, enjoy car rides, assuming your car is big enough for a creature larger than a bullmastiff.You MUST fill out the form below to be able to adopt a Borf
