He could barely see ahead of him. Nightspot kept swimming. He was looking for something. Nightspot had heard that a huge, prettty pearl was at the bottom of these waters. Everyone was looking for it. They all said this was no place for kids. Well, Nightspot didn't care. It would feed his family for life! Every flicker of light, every shiny surface, Nightspot was there. Nope! Not there! Not that either! Nightspot knew that in just a bit, he would need to head back home to safety. So, he decided to find one more shining thing. Nightspot saw it. There! He swam down slowly. Nightspot knew it would be nothing. He picked it up and opened his eyes. And there, in NIghtspot's flippers, was a huge, shiny pearl. Beautiful! Nightspot raced the pearl back home. Up out of murky water and into pretty, clear, and fish-infested waters. Nightspot hid his prize carefully. Every fish in the ocean was after it! Nightspot came into a cave where he lived. He saw his family looking at him. Nightspot paused, and uncovered the beautiful pearl. His mother cried in delight. Nightspot's younger sibling sqeaked at the shininess of the pearl. His father nodded happily. Nightspot swam around happily, as if dancing. He had saved his family!
