I laugh "forever" I say, reaching for his hand and pulling it towards the sky.

Jake released his grasp on her hand, and instead draped an arm around her waist. "Yeah. Forever sounds great to me." He pressed the side of his head against hers, squeezing in a one-armed hug.

I smile at him. It's weird adjusting to something like this in the hunger games. It's doomed and pointless but comforting. I sigh and close my eyes against the sun.

Maya sits a little ways away, against a tree. No body really get her. Back home, she was as hard as a rock, not bothering with anyone. Except... except her. And him. Her, being her little sister, Jay. It was a wierd name for a girl but... Maya was in love with it as she was in love with her sister. They were two peas in a pod. And then, Him. He was... amazing. They'd been best friends for years, being rebellious and all that. Being torn away from him was heartbreaking. Because she was starting to love him too... Maya turned away, letting no one see her feelings. She was a rock to anyone but Jay and Cayona.

Jake gingerly pulls away. "Come on. We need to figure out what we're going to do wih one extra camper." He slipped away from her grasp, wincing when his head was turned away. He didn't want any special treatment just because his leg was an irritating little toad.

I smile and stand up "You have any ideas?" I ask, nodding towards Maya

Maya's head shot up and she hardened quickly before relaxing. "W-well... well, we should probably hunt. Hunt, set up camp. Stuff like that."
