Once, Earth was a peaceful planet. Humans would flock the streets, chatting among themselves, and roaming free. But, there were few that lurked in the shadows... Few that were inhumane, and few that had been studying human nature for years. They had blended into the crowed... No one would of ever known. The few joined forces with their fellow species around the world, creating an unstoppable army. They first attacked the UK, easily destroying the human army, and enslaving the UK's humans. Then they moved on to the USA, again, easily defeating their army. After the United Stats of America was defeated, they were enslaved as well. Soon, the entire earth had been enslaved. Everyone in the world pondered on what these creatures were, they couldn't possibly be humans. On a chilling Saturday evening, the new president made an announcement on Television, announcing what they were. The words echoed through the house as it was announced, Vampires, the things you never thought would be real, were not only real, but had taken the world over. Animals were spared, yet are rare to get due to the thirst of blood. Now, years later, all humans had been enslaved. One, although, is the one that you may take interest. Azai, a 16 year old girl, has served her master for a month or so, and although she is quiet, she may just find a way to stop the Vampires.. Will the world ever be ruled by Humans? Or will it stay with the darkest creatures, known as Vampires? Not even I, the narrator, knows the answer.

A bell rang throughout Zachery's empty mansion, followed by the sound of soft footsteps on the wood floor. Zachery growled, Azai was taking a long time. He wished humans were smart enough to learn how to run faster, but, he knew they would never develop past the intellect in which they were now. Azai quickened her pace at the sound of the growl she heard, and in just seconds she was down at Zachery's side. His red eyes focused on Azai, looking her from top to bottom. She wore her maid outfit in which she was forced to wear when she served Zachery, and her curled hair strayed past her shoulder as she bowed. Azai's soft eyes were focused on the floor, not daring to make contact with evil eyes that seemed to look past her skin and into her soul.

"It took you two whole minutes to get from upstairs, to down here," Zach spat through his clenched teeth, his claw like nails tracing the bottom of Azai's skirt. "Did you notice this smudge? I did. Could you possibly be more sloppy then this?" he scanned her once more, then looking up at her eyes. "What exactly are you looking at? I discussed with you when you came here, eye contact is not an option." he shook his head. "Already breaking my rules, eh? You've been here exactly 16 days, yet you have broken one rule multiple times," a growl erupted from his throat, and echoed through the room. "Do you have anything to say about this?" he asked, looking right at her eyes.

Azai bit her lip, standing where she was and rocking back and slightly swaying back and forth. Her eyes slowly came up to his face and came in contact with his eyes. The red hue seemed to burn through her, she didn't say a word.

"You can't possibly be that stupid, can you? You must know how to speak, so speak. That's an order," he narrowed his eyes, knowing it scared Azai. After a few seconds of silence he chuckled.

"Sorry sir.." Azai stuttered, clenching her eyes shut for a few seconds then reopening them. Her eyes darted around the darkened room, hearing other footsteps. She sighed in relief when she saw it was only Ninja, the orange tabby. Her eyes went back to face Zach shortly after she saw Ninja.

"That's better," Zak said, still chuckling a bit. "Now, onto your orders. Firstly, clean this whole house. This means every single room on every single floor. So yes, all 10 floors, an all 60 rooms. Then, clean the pool outback entirely. This also means draining it, then refilling it. Finally, fold all the laundry. Including the towels, and mine." he loved ordering others to do things, especially things he knew would take all day. "No eating, or drinking ANYTHING until all your chores are done. Once you finish them you can have a glass of water, and a salad. Don't you dare touch anything else in that kitchen, are we clear?" he stated, a serious look across his face.

Azai simply nodded, and began to walk away.

"Good," his eyes flickered in the darkness, making a freaky red glow light the room. "Better hurry.." he chuckled, seeing Azai begin to hurry. She bolted up the stairs, and with that, the room went black.

Azai began to do her chores, dusting the shelves of the second floor, and vacuuming the second floor as well. In the rooms with wood flooring, she would clean it with a mop. She wiped the sweat off her temple with a tissue, and continued cleaning throughout the whole house. About three hours later, she came upon the top floor, and began strolling to the last room. She kept the worst room for last, Zach's room. Zach's room was all the way at the end of the hall, where the lights either flickered, or were burnt out. She slowly walked towards the door, the only light she had was a small flashlight, which, was almost dead. Azai felt the wall, using it as a guide to the room. She softly sang to herself, singing gave her comfort. Azai felt her way to the door, and slowly turned the knob, venturing into the dark room.

Azai felt around for the light switch, her heart skipped a beat as she felt it, then sunk as she turned it on, but was not shielding with light. Of course, the light switch did not work. She sighed, feeling around the floor for dirty clothes or trash. She lurked around the dark room, leaning on the walls for balance. She had almost cleaned the whole room, when she touched another wall. This wall felt strange, almost like a shirt. She turned her head that was facing the floor, a little bit up to look at this wall. Instead of seeing the faint figure of a wall, she saw glowing red eyes. She froze for a few seconds, staying silent as she stared at these eyes, she then screamed, attempting to bolt out of the room. Instead, she fell over a unknown object, and slid out the room, hitting one of the walls outside the room, but far enough from the room that there was a light.

Azai slowly got up, looking down at her outfit which was filthy due to sliding across the floor. Her body ached, yet she walked slowly over to the room, hearing the laughter of Zach in the room. She came back in to see the lights on, and Zach laughing his head off. She frowned, and went back to work, picking everything up.

"Is little Azai scared of eyes?" Zach said in a baby voice, still laughing.

Azai looked down, "You startled me, that's all.." She murmured, continuing her work until she was finished, and with that she strolled out the room slowly, heading down to the pool.

Zach growled, "I heard that, by the way, I can sense fear. There was fear in this room before you even looked up, so your just a lying human." He spat walking out as well, but going down the stairs before her, and heading to the main room. He drank a bottle of Blood Cola, and watched Television as Azai went outside and cleaned the pool, it took an hour, but she was finally done. She then moved on to the laundry, carefully folding the few clothes she had, the few towels there were, and the mound of clothes Zach had. By the time she was done, it was 8:00pm, and she had nothing to eat, nor drink, all day. She then walked upstairs, changed into normal clothes, and walked back down to the kitchen. She looked for the salad lettuce and dressing. She then took out some onions, tomatoes, cheese, and croutons. Once she had all her ingredients out, she got out a plate and made the wonderful salad, topping it off with a ranch dressing. She retrieved a fork, and filled up a large glass of water, gulping down a quarter of it then digging into her salad. She had eaten her meal in a matter of minutes, and found her stomach was still begging for food. She peered into the fridge, seeing blood covered things, and then the most delicious thing in the world. There was a chocolate bar, it was untouched, and sealed in the delicious wrapper. She resisted the urge to take it, and turned around, seeing Zach sitting at the table, watching her and peering down at her clean plate. She jumped a bit, but stayed calm, starring blankly at him.

"What are you doing?" Zach growled once again, glaring at her with his red eyes. She sat there, her face looking blank. "You planned on taking that chocolate in there, didn't you? Didn't I tell you to only drink water, and eat salad? I do recall doing that earlier today," he said, still growling, now narrowing his eyes at her. He looked her up and down once again. "And what in the world are you wearing? Ripped jeans and a "pokemon" jacket? Where is your maid outfit?" As you may of guessed, he was still growling.

Azai began to stutter "N-no... I-I was making sure everything in the fridge was still safe to eat, and I-I thought I was done for the day so I ch-changed into my clothes..." she spoke softly, and quickly, looking down at her shoes.

Zach rolled his eyes, "Fine, i'll believe that. But, there you go again, breaking the eye contact rule twice in one day!" He was now pissed, his eyes seemed to be on fire. He knocked the plates on the floor, on contact they split into piece of glass, which flew across the room, a few flying into Azai's arm. She clenched her teeth as she picked the pieces out, watching them fall to the floor and trickle with blood. She looked up, seeing Zach have that "hungry" look in his eyes, and him focusing on her now bloody forearm. She took a step back, and without a second thought she high tailed it up the stairs. Her room was on the top floor, nearby Zach's. She knew Zach could run fast, because he was a vampire and such, so she ran as fast as her legs could take her, getting to her room and opening the door swiftly. She quickly got in, and locked the door. Although, she knew that would not hold him off. She slowly dragged her small dresser and Television to the front of the door, praying it would hold. She then slowly took out a medical kit out from under her bed and patched her hand up with bandages, hoping the blood smell would fade away.

Zach slammed his fist on the door, "Let me in, NOW!" Zach growled, almost yelling. Azai didn't respond, tears weld up in her eyes. She knew the barrier would not hold, and knew once he smelt blood he would drink it. She sat on her bed, wondering what to do.

Image

Zach took out a key and opened the door, pushing the dresser out of the way. Just as he did so the small of blood seemed to disappear from the air. He approached Azai, narrowing his eyes at her.

"Why are you up here crying?" he said in a demanding voice, wanting an answer.

Azai looked down, "You tried to..eat me." she said in a soft whisper.

Zach began laughing "So I attempted to 'eat you' and your not dead? How interesting." he said through his chuckles. Azai then began to frown, she could of been dead in a matter of seconds, yet here Zach is, laughing at the fact she is alive. Zach then continued, "I guess you can sleep now... or whatever humans do at night." he stated, rolling his eyes. He walked out of the room slowly, shutting the door behind him. Azai sat there, staring blankly for a few seconds. That was all? He didn't even say sorry, or ask if she was alright? She shook the thoughts and got up, turning on the shower in the bathroom, which was connected to her small room. She peeked her head out the door, tiptoeing to the closet in the middle of the hall for a towel. Once she got a towel she walked snook back to her back to her room, and undressed, going into the shower.

Zach came back down the stairs and noticed the glass was still there, so he rang the bell. He waited a few minutes, and rang it again when she didn't come down. It had now been 10 minutes, and she had yet to come down, so he headed up the stairs. Azai heard the ringing like sound, so she decided to hurry up with her shower. After about 8 minutes she had gotten out of the shower with her towel wrapped tightly around her body. She lightly brushed her hair with a small hairbrush, and turned as she heard the door open. Zach had came in thinking Azai was just ignoring him, and was coming to drag her down the stairs to pick up the glass. He mindlessly looked around, then came into the bathroom.

"Azai, where are you? You must come down stairs and clean up that glass!" he yelled, looking around the bathroom and seeing Azai in her towel. "What are you doing..?" he stupidly asked.

Azai glared at him, wondering if he was stupid enough not to realize she just got out of the shower. "I took a shower, and now your, er... Staring at me in my towel.." She quietly spoke, looking down at the wet floor.

"Well, you need to come down and clean up that glass that YOU dropped!" he growled, as if she was automatically supposed to go down the stairs and do it. With that, he walked out without her response. Azai nodded before he left, changing back into the maid outfit and walking down the steps slowly, holding onto the railing. She was walking barefoot, and slipped once, but caught herself. She came into the kitchen with a dustpan, and slowly cleaned the glass up, making sure not to get any in her skin. When she was done she emptied the dust pan into the trash, and put the trash outside. After she was done she began to head back up the stairs.

"Where you are going?" Zach said, narrowing his eyes. Azai pointed up the stairs, not wanting to talk. "Oh, well aren't you quite the Sherlock Holmes? I know your going up the stairs." he spat.

"The room I was given.." she said softly, looking towards the stairway.

"Have you cleaned up the glass, and done everything you have needed to today?" he said, looking at her. She nodded, hoping he would soon stop talking so she could go to bed. "Fine, I expect you down here at my side at 6 am, you must come shopping at the market with me tomorrow. After that you must prepare me lunch, and prepare yourself a small meal. Tomorrow I will give you more chores, got that? Now go upstairs, I don't want to see you down here again." he growled, which was followed by a chuckle. Azai nodded, running back up the stairs, and when she arrived in her room, she changed into one of her few pairs of Pajamas. They were black Pokemon Pajamas covered with PokeBalls and Pokemon. She then opened up her window, allowing the cold air to circulate through the room. She looked outside for a few seconds, making sure the metal mesh that Zach had put on all the windows was tightly on there. She heard there were some vampires that broke into houses and took slaves others had for food, and she feared that could happen.

Azai shook the metal mesh a little, and was sure it was tightly secured. She slowly walked towards the small bed she was given. It has two pillows, a thin blanket, and a thick blanket. By the bed set a small table, but she had nothing to put on it. Then there was a fan with a light, and her dresser, but that was about it. Aside from a black, fuzzy, rug that spread across half the room. Azai had now climbed into bed, staring up at the ceiling. She heard cries for help outside, and tried blocking the sound out. This usually happened during the night. Although the mansion was in a nice area, many vampires went out to hunt at night, and preyed on the slaves that were stupid enough to run away from their masters. Azai sat, listening to the helpless screams of others get drained out by the laughter of the vampires, the vampires who knew the humans had no chance. After a few hours of tossing and turning, Azai was asleep. It was about 2:00am, and the clock outside her room slowly clicked. The clicking was no match for the sound of footsteps drowning out the sound, and the creepy sound of a door squeaking open. This door was none other then Azai's door, and Zach red eyes could be seen glowing in the darkness.

"You've lasted 16 days, I wonder if there will be a 17th day for you." Zach hissed with a cackle, then slowly closing the door.

It was 5 am, and you could hear an alarm echoing through the neighborhood. Azai yawned, stretching her arms in the air letting out a small yawn. She rubbed her eyes and ran in the bathroom, silencing the alarm. She slowly walked toward the window, peering out as the sun hid behind the mighty mountains, seeming to coward away from the now horrible world that it had to lighten. Although, the light never shone through the darkness that was cascaded across the earth. Azai sat at the window, blankly looking out the window. After a few seconds, she began to walk away from the window, going into the bathroom and turning on the shower. She let the shower run as she took out her maid outfit, cleaning it with a small rag then ironing it so it was free of wrinkles. Once she was done she hung it neatly in the bathroom, and undressed, going into the shower once again.

Azai was in the shower for about ten minutes, then getting out and quickly brushing her curly hair. She looked at the clock which read 5:30, so she quickened her pace. By 5:45 she was dressed and ready to go, but she still had about 10 minutes until she had to begin going down the stairs. She strolled around her room, doing a few things like making her bed, cleaning up the floor, putting her pajamas in the dirty clothes pile, and closing her window while locking it tightly. She then peered at the clock again, which now read 5:55, so she exited her room, closing the door tightly. As she walked down the stairs she was joined by Ninja, who purred as he saw company on the lonely stairwell. She greeted Ninja with a kind pet, then continued down the stairs. When she had finally reached the first floor, it was 5:59. Azai strolled towards the main room which contained the entrance to the mansion, waiting for Zach to appear. She didn't dare to sit on his furniture, instead she stood, her fingers intertwined and her legs crossed.

A large grandfather clock chimed, signaling it was now 6 am. Azai looked around, the ring echoing through her ears. She looked around, not seeing Zach anywhere. She then looked behind her, and jumped back, seeing Zach through the darkened day. He chuckled at her jump, and looking her up and down as he did yesterday.

"Hmm, you removed the smudge from your outfit, but not it seems there is a wet spot on it. Tsk tsk tsk, did someone wet themselves? That's disgusting. I don't want my fellow kind seeing that, go change, now." he ordered her, his eyes flickering. Azai nodded sadly, bolting up the stairs. She knew better to keep Zach waiting, in a matter of minutes she was back down with her nicest outfit. It was one she had held on to for years, her mother had given it to her. It was a light blue dress with a crystal belt, {The dress} she had planned on using it for prom, but she never got to go to prom. It was her most prized possession, other then a picture of her family she kept locked away so she would be able to keep it. Maybe this dress would live up to Zach's expectations. She came downstairs wearing the dress, along with her black converse. As she strolled toward Zach, she looked at him, not making the same mistake she had done many times before.

"Is this alright..?" Azai said in a quiet voice, almost unheard.

Zach smiled, "If I would of know you had that in your closet, I would of replaced all your other outfits with this one.. It's quite fine I guess.. How did you get this?" he looked at her, questioning how such a poor human could afford this.

Azai gulped, "My mother bought it for me..for...prom." She murmured, feeling a tad depressed at the mention of her mother. Her mother was dead now, she had tried to save Azai, and was punished by death for doing so. At the age of 13 she had to watch her mother slowly die. Azai seemed to zone out for a moment, but snapped back to reality soon after.

Zach chuckled feeling the puffy dress. "Hmmm.. not the cheap fabric either.. Interesting, too bad she perished." he continued to chuckle.

Azai narrowed her eyes, how would he know her mother perished? "Ya..." she awkwardly said, looking at the floor for a quick second.

Zach rolled his eyes, he knew that hurt Azai, and thought humans were weak for having feelings. He didn't care his family was dead, not even the slightest bit. "Come along, we must go shopping. Don't even thing about running off, I have programmed a tracker in your shoe, if you even get a mile away from me, it shocks you." he growled, leading Azai outside to the sports car he owned. She looked at it, amazed. She had never seen such a car! Zach looked at her, "Why are you stalling, get in." he obnoxiously demanded, getting in the car himself. Azai sat there, hesitating for a few moments before getting in. She looked around the car, spotting the lock was no where to be found, meaning she could not just unlock the door. She sat in the seat, sitting up straight. Even with sitting up straight, she could hardly see over the dashboard. The only thing she was was the dark sky, brewing a horrible storm it seemed. She looked over at Zach, who was staring blankly at her.

Zach looked at her for a few minutes, examining her actions. After a few moments he spoke loudly, "Hold on, I don't know the meaning of safe driving." he smiled devilishly, zooming out the garage.

Image

Azai put on her seat belt, clutching the seat with her nails. She looked out the window, it had been a long time since she had been around town. She saw many vampires outside the window, roaming the streets in the early hours of the day. She saw one stare right at her and hiss, which freaked her out. She bit her lower lip, turning from the window to the floor of the car. She was then surprised with a random stop, sending her head almost flying into the glass. She looked up, nothing was there that would of made them stop, did he do that on purpose? Azai looked at him for a split second and saw him chuckling to himself, so she then knew it was a joke. In a matter of minutes, they had arrived at a grocery store called "Vampy's Food". The car had skidded to a stop in a parking space at the very last parking spot in the lot. Azai waited for Zach to get out, then opened the door carefully, slowly getting out then closing it.

Zach looked at Azai, making sure she didn't try and make a run for it. He slowly started walking, Azai following right behind him. She looked around at the watchful eyes of others as she approached the store. Zach looked back every so often, making sure she was still there. It took about four minutes to make it to the inside of the store. The store was strange, it had a dark glow to it, and most the stuff was red. Zach handed Azai a list.

"This is what I need, get it for me. You have a half hour, get going." he said with a chuckle, looking at his clock. Azai nodded, reading the list over. It consisted of mostly blood items, and a few items she guessed was her's. She went around the store with a shopping cart, scanning through the aisles for items. The first aisle she searched has the Blood Cola she needed, along with some blood like sauce. It took about 20 minutes of going through aisles, but she found all the box and can held items. She then scavenged through the meat section, grabbing some steak, ribs, and pork. She was now finally done, and headed back to Zach who was waiting by the front. She handed him the cart, and looked at a man at his left.

"This is Thomas, my fellow vampire friend. Thomas, this is my slave, Azai." Zach said with a sly smile, pointing at her like she was a statue. Thomas smiled, looking Azai up and down as Zach always does.

"Hmm, nice. Did you pay the money for that dress, Zach? I thought you didn't care about your slaves." he joked around, chuckling while he looked at Azai. "So, this is your slave. I thought she would be much more of a pretty sight." he said with another chuckle, turning back to Zach.

"Thomas invited you and I to dinner at his house, he doesn't have a slave of his own," Zach paused for a moment, then continued. "anymore." Zach and Thomas both laughed as if it was a joke, then Zach began walking away. "We'll see you at 8:00 Thomas." Zach remarked with a smile, walking to the manager and paying the money he owed.

"Push the cart up the hill." he commanded Azai, as he slowly walked out of the store, leaving the cart for Azai. Azai had nodded pushing the cart up the never ending hill. When she had finally reached the car, she was breathing heavily. Zach looked at her funny, speaking again.

"Put them in the trunk now, hurry up too. The clouds should drop heavy rain any second now, I don't want wet food." he growled, climbing in the car as he left Azai outside. She opened the trunk slowly, then packed the groceries in, putting two at a time. As she finished and closed the trunk, she felt rain trickle down from the clouds and onto her head. She put the cart in the cart rack and quickly got into the car, remembering to put on her seat belt. Once again Zach drove away like a maniac, and in a matter of minutes they were in the mansion's garage. By now, the rain was hurtling down from the sky and falling to the ground hard. Both Azai and Zach got out of the car.

"Now bring and put the groceries away." Zach ordered, and walked in. Azai nodded once again, bringing the groceries in and carefully putting them away in their places. She made sure to throw away the old food, and throw away the useless plastic bags. She looked at the clock which only read 7:30. She looked around the kitchen silently, slowly exiting it. Her walking was the interrupted by the talking of Zach.

"Make my breakfast." Zach ordered, not even looking up from the television.

Azai looked up, "What do you want?" she quietly questioned, looking at him.

Zach sat there thinking a moment before speaking. "Pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, an omelet, and blood cola." he answered, looking at Azai for a few moments. Azai simply nodded and went into the kitchen once again. She was a little surprised Zach asked for so many non blood related items. She turned on the stove, and took out the bacon from the fridge, lightly putting it on the sizzling pan. She then took out several other pans, putting omelet mix in one, pancake mix in the other, then eggs in the final one. She had filled up the whole stove, and still needed to put the sausage on. She began to think, and decided to wait to make the sausage. She flipped the pancakes in the pan, making sure they were being cooked perfectly. She then put eggs and cheese in the almost finished omelet, making sure to leave plenty of eggs left on pan for the side. Azai noticed everything was almost finished, so she took out a plate. She flipped the pancakes onto the plate, then used a scooper to scoop the bacon carefully onto the plate. She finally put the sausage on, and took out another plate for the omelet and eggs. She sat, cooking the sasuage carefully then putting it on another small plate. She then carefully placed the plates on a tray, and poured some blood cola in a glass. Finally, she put some utensils on the tray and walked over to the living room where Zach was, slowly handing him the tray. Zach looked at it carefully,

"Good... What is the omelet?" he narrowed his eyes.

Azai paused. "Eggs and cheese." she seemed to almost mumble.

"Ugh cheese, you have it. You can drink whatever you humans drink with... this." Zach said scraping the eggs off the plate and giving Azai the plate. He turned away from her without another word, and Azai shrugged, going into the kitchen and devouring the omelet with some orange juice. It was delicious, and was her favorite kind of omelet. She sat there, thinking to herself. Just when she thought she knew Zach, he did something nice.. Was he turning soft?
Image

Azai finished her omelet, setting the plate in the sink and cleaning it. She went upstairs and changed into her maid outfit, which was now dry and looked fine. Then throughout the day she was told to do various things like iron Zach's clothes, iron her own clothes, dust the rooms, etc. She was kept busy until 6:00pm, where she was called downstairs.

Zach looked at Azai, "Now, we must arrive at Thomas's house at 8:00pm, not a minute late or early. You look quite dirty, go clean yourself up. I expect you to wear your best outfit to Thomas's house, he is a very good friend of mine and no slave of mine is going to look like a dirty dog. Come down once you have finished getting ready, if you do not meet my expectations you shall be sent back upstairs and will be left here alone. Then tomorrow you shall stay in your room all day, no food, or anything." he ordered her, he was pretty serious about this. Azai nodded, heading up the stairwell and to her room. She firstly made sure her blue dress was nice and clean. She secondly dug into her closet. behind many empty boxes and hangers were her best shoes, the shoes she also planned on wearing to prom. She took them out examining them, they were dusty, and never worn. {the shoes} She tried them on, sliding her feet in slowly. They still fit, and looked beautiful. She then turned on the shower, quickly undressed, and took a quick shower. She knew she needed lots of time to do her hair, so she got out quickly and dried herself off.

Azai looked at herself in the mirror, brushing her hair time after time, it slowly curling each time she did. After a while it was naturally curled. Azai then changed into the lovely blue dress, and blue shoes. She looked at herself one more time, hoping it would gain his "approval". She exited her room, slowly going down the stairs. She was shaky, never once had she worn heals. Her arm was tightly wrapped around the only thing stopping her from falling, the arm rail. After ten minutes of slowly walking, she finally was on the final steps of the stairs. She sighed in relief as she touched the level floor, and she approached the main room. She looked straight ahead as she saw Zach walking towards her. She stopped, waiting for him to stop walking as well. When he did stop, he once again looked her up and down. His face was emotionless as he examined the dress and shoes, as well as the hair.

"Hmmm..." he said, keeping Azai in suspense. "It's good, I guess.. But I expected that you would have at least the slightest bit of bling to it.." Zach dug in his pocket for something, then pulled out a key. "Go to the second floor, and the last room on the right. Fetch me anything in the compartment of the pink dresser." he smirked as Azai nodded and went upstairs. Azai wondered what was in this room, it was one of the rooms she had never seen. She slowly ventured back up the stairs and to the room, hesitating before opening it with the key. As she turned the light on in the room, she was amazed. The room was covered with pink items and frilly clothing. But, she wouldn't let herself get distracted. She walked to the dresser, and opened the last compartment, and was yet again amazed. It was full of expensive jewelry. She picked out a piece by random, then exited the room, slowly making her way back down the stairs, and handing it to Zach. He examined it carefully.

"Good, now put the necklace on. It completes the outfit, and Thomas will be amazed. Don't let me see a single dirt smudge or scratch on it when I retrieve it from you at the end of the night." he growled. Azai nodded, smiling for once. She put the necklace on, and was dragged by her wrist to a different car. It seemed more nice, and it seemed even faster. It was a sparkling black sports car. She slowly got in the car, and within a matter of minutes they arrived at Thomas's place. Both Azai and Zach got out of the car, and headed towards the door. As they both faced the door, Zach looked at Azai.

"Ring the doorbell." he growled, as if it was an annoyance he was here. Azai paused, hesitating before she pressed the bell and listened to the chiming.

The annoying chiming echoed through the house, seeming to hurt the ears of anyone inside the home. Within a matter of seconds Thomas was at the door, slowly opening it.

"Hello Zach and slave, come in!" he greeted with a grin, paying no attention to the fact Azai's name is not 'slave.' Zach put a grin on his face and entered the home, looking around.

"Thank you Thomas, yes come on in 'slave'." he chuckled a bit, looking at Azai for a second, then turning to Thomas. "Nice place you have here. I am surprised it's so clean without a slave..." he was pretty suspicious about this, Thomas usually had a extra slave in case something were to happen to another slave he had.

Thomas began to awkwardly chuckle, "Well, I guess I told a little white lie." he looked up at the stairs, "Alice, come down." he demanded, looking at the stairs as a woman appeared. She gracefully made her way down the stairs with a grin on her face.

"Hello, you must be Zachery," she said in a welcoming tone, turning to Azai. "You must be Azai," she seemed to say in almost a growl. Azai was confused about this, why would she seem to growl at her? Thomas then turned to Alice.

"This is Alice, my slave. She is quite useful, and was pretty cheap." he chuckled, looking back to Zachery. "Come, lets go to the dining room." Thomas said, beginning to walk off, leading everyone to the room. Zach nodded, allowing Azai to go in front of him. The dining hall was the next room on the right, so it only took a minute to arrive there. When they did arrive the table was packed full with delicious food such as steak, salad, pork chops, ham, Pizza, bread sticks, and french fries. Azai's eyes danced with amazement, there was so much food! The long table was filled, and covered with plates, glasses, and utensils. Azai didn't sit down, instead she let Zach sit, and hesitated, not knowing if she was allowed to actually eat.

"Why don't you take a seat?" Thomas asked Azai, looking at her strangely. Azai nodded, making her way to a chair near Zach. She left one empty chair between them because she felt awkward sitting next to her master. Azai then hesitated again, not sure if she should take her food now, or wait for everyone else. She decided just to wait until Zach and Thomas got their food, then piled her plate. She didn't put much food, because she didn't want to look like a pig. She simply put on two pieces of ham, a small steak, and salad. Like always, she prayed quietly before she slowly ate her food.

The room was pretty quiet, besides the clanking of silverware on the plates as everyone ate. Thomas decided to break the silence.

"So, um, nice outfit Azai.." he awkwardly said, hoping to get a conversation going with everyone.

Azai quietly responded, "Thank you."

"I have a dress like that, actually it's nicer." Alice remarked through her chews.

"Good for you Alice, do you expect a billion dollars for that?" Zach sarcastically said with a chuckle, which caused Thomas to chuckle as well. Azai continued to slowly eat, cutting into the ham and taking small bites, although she was starving. She was drinking a glass of lemonade, and looking around the place every so often. Alice sat there with a upset look on her face, no one had ever made fun of her.

"I was just saying, no need to take it seriously fang boy." she growled, rolling her eyes at Zach. Zach glared at her, his short temper taking effect. Thomas stepped in, knowing this was going to turn out bad.

"Alice go upstairs now, your done eating for tonight." Thomas growled, glaring at her. "Don't bother coming back downstairs tonight either." he continued, watching her as she slammed her plates into the sink and went upstairs. Azai stared blankly at her food, wondering what just happened. Zach turned to Thomas, his temper still blazing.

"I see why you kept her a secret, why keep her? She is the biggest brat I have seen." he growled, clenching his eyes shut. Thomas shrugged, chuckling a bit.

"I know no one will rob the house with that brat here!" Thomas said, continuing to chuckle.

....creepy..... Scary guy bashing down the door much?
"remember how we forgot?
remember how no one ever really died in the wars we fought?
because each gunshot came from our fingertips
and we never really kept them loaded, just in case
because each enemy was a friend and none of it was about oil, religion or land
it was all just pretend;
remember how we used to bend reality
like we were circus strong men
like our imaginations were in shape then
like we were all
ninjas trained in the deadly art of "did not"
like "i totally got you!"
"...did not"
remember how we forgot?
