Will you critique other's work?: Yes, occasionally. I'm not on often enough to critique every work, but I'll do what I can.
Links to your story if you have any: I don't really do stories. I'm a poet."You Will Love Again." "And Yet, My Heart Still Aches." [Untitled.]
Anything you want us to know?: About me? About my writing? I'm not sure. If you want to know anything, please feel free to ask me.

Can anyone help with this sci-fi alien story that I'm creating? The story is set in the ARTS (Alien Research Teaching and Study) Department of this agency called A and the main characters are: Toni, who was recruited for the ARTS department out of jail; Nick, the youngest head of the ARTS department ever; and Jemma, who is an alien.
But then (because I'm writing this story remember, and that means that it gets insanely complicated very quickly) there are all the characters' backstories.
For example: Toni (full name - Antonia, AKA Jailbird or JB by some of the ARTS department workers), was in jail for murdering her husband's killer, who happened to be an alien - which is why the ARTS department recruited her in the first place; because she not only knows about the existance of aliens, but she can kill them.
Nick (full name Nathanial)'s dad was head of the ARTS department before him, so some of then more experienced employees are a bit resentful towrds him because they think he was only recruited because he's 'daddy's little boy' (not true, Nick's dad only had a small amount of influence over the identity of his successor).
Jemma (because she's the 'gem' of the agency) was hanging in an egg attached to the ceiling of the ARTS department for 22 years, listening to what everybody said and absorbing information, like little children do when they're learning to speak.
And then there's the whole thing with Jemma's mum Eileen, etc, etc.
Anywho, I have some vague ideas about a rodent-sized alien living undetected in the ARTS department and various other character plots that I'm not going to write down because you already bothered to read that and I don't want to hold you up any longer.
There are two things that I need help with though. The first one is that I have no middle. I never have a middle, for any of my stories, and actually it's a really bad habit. In fact, for this particular story I don't even have an end. The second problem is that some things in this story are unexplainable, and I'm not sure if I should leave them that way or provide an explaination. Things like why 'Nathanial' is called 'Nick', what on earth 'A' means. And the ARTS department should really be called the AIRS (Alien Intelligence Research and Study) department, and I think that ARTS sounds better.
Does anyone have any ideas that could help?
