The tom inwardly flinched at the sight of Moonshade, did he really hurt her that much?
"I want to apologize for what i said Moonshade, but i would be lying to myself if i said i want kits no matter what. You remember what i told you...i was a cruel cat and i don't want the chance of another cat like me being born." he got to the point and faced her directly, he was hurt how such a small matter would make her this upset, however since he did not understand the want to have kits he couldn't say he understood. He just didn't want Moonshade to stay like this, it wasn't good for her.
"Quite frankly the thought of a kit growing up to be as ignorant as i was makes me fear for you and the clan." Secretgrudge turned away for a moment to stare out into space before closing his mouth.

Moonshade just stared at him with her clear blue eyes. She blinked occasionally but didn't seem to move an inch as he spoke and waited patiently as he paused. Did he seriously think she was that irritated about it? Well, now she wasn't and wished he knew that before he had said all that. It just made her feel awful. She looked down after a long while. Most of these strange feelings she couldn't shake off were from full-on talking to cats who were supposed to be dead when she had absolutely no link to Starclan whatsoever and that she basically just either spoke to a hallucination of Sagepaw when she was unconscious or she was seriously there. All of that could really mess up a cat's brain like hers. It was too much.
She blinked at the tom, not knowing what to think after dealing with so much in one day. She stood perfectly still as she started to speak. "Don't apologize. I understand now... Spiderfrost told me the rest of your little story that you seemed to keep to yourself, leaving me confused in my own little world..." she trailed off, trying to calm herself. She just noticed her voice sounded firm and a little annoyed but now it returned to a calmer tone. She let out a shaky sigh, wanting him to understand that the way she felt right now wasn't even all him. She moved closer to Secretgrudge, body feeling stiff. She hesitated but licked the top of his head. She pulled back, smiling weakly. "It's alright, Secretgrudge. You may not understand this now but there have been too many things happening to me lately," she said simply. Moonshade took in a deep breath, her beautiful, dark grey tabby coat ruffled slightly from a breeze. "I love you, Secretgrudge. You may have said that too, but you won't know how much I really love you. I love you enough that it's alright if I don't have kits. I respect your reasoning." She then licked his face again lovingly, trying to purr but she started to choke up a little bit. Her tongue traced his cheek before she looked back down, taking a step back.

Secretgrudges' eyes widened ever so slightly before softening its gaze over Moonshade. He licked her cheek once again after she professed her love for him.
"And I you Moonshade...One day...one day i promise to give you that family you want..." he promised the pretty tabby he couldn't help but love.

Moonshade lifted her dark face, smiling a little when he licked her back. She sighed and pressed her forehead to his, flicking one ear. "Only if that would be something you'll actually want then. I won't live with myself if I bring a litter into the world when their father doesn't want them.." she murmured softly. As a plain warrior, sure she could wait. She was young and healthy and really had nothing to worry about at the moment... except of course what Sagepaw was rambling on about. But she wasn't just a warrior anymore. She was deputy. That meant she was on a time constraint. Once she became leader, which hopefully was far from now in the future, she would never be able to carry kits. But she said none of that or showed any concerns on her face as she nuzzled the tom she cared for so dearly. "But thank you," she purred.
