I don't think there has been specific reference to the mermaid tails being re-released, but the other event items have started being recycled, so it is likely. ^^

Thanks for the correction, I knew they had stated they would be rereleasing items, but I didn't look into if they had ever made specific reference to the mermaid tails.

oh, excellent! i missed the first three days of the event, and it's the tails i want most. hope they start repeating soon!

That never says anywhere that any of the mermaid tails will be -rereleased-. All it says is that -more- mermaid tails will be "coming back" in later days. The quote is kinda taken out of context here. Nick said that after the first change, when it changed to the first shark tail. He said it because people were freaking out, saying they wanted a mermaid tail and didn't want to change. He says -more- will be coming later, not that the first one will be rereleased.

Some tails could very well end up being rereleased. But there's no true confirmation that they -will- be, so going around saying they will is a pretty bad idea because, if they don't, then people will get extremely upset because they were told that they would be. With only 10 days in the event and already seeing 6 -different- tails without repeats, I wouldn't be surprised if none of them were released again because that only leaves 4 days, so only a possibility of 4 of the 6 to be released again. After all, we still haven't seen the tail that's on the actual mermaid. owo
