Regalis jumped, chasing after her. His eyes flickered back towards the dog and girl as they entered the meadow. He grimaced and turned back to Elanor. He chased after her faster. He opened his mouth then shut it. He gritted his teeth and bit his tongue. One day, he would grace her with his voice. But today was not that day.

Elanor didn't notice anything, she knew Regalis was there, so she didn't need to turn around. She knelt in front of the large tree and laid the rabbits on the grass. She gathered some dry branches and grass, disposing them on a conic structure, so the smoke would escape, then prepared some stronger branches to roast the meat. She took off her pocket two pieces of flint and rasped them to produce a spark. At first, the fire didn't light immediately. It took her several attempts to finally have a decent fire burning. Elanor frowned, and in some few minutes she took the skin off the three rabbits with her hunt dagger. She placed the meat over the fire and grabbed the leather pouch she had always taken with her, hidden under her cloak.

Inside it, there were many kinds of herbs. They were there for medical purposes, but Elanor knew some of them would add taste to the meat. She sprinkled the rabbits with thyme and rosemary, then sat back, waiting them to cook. ''Dreamsnare'' she called. ''We hunted some rabbits; want to eat?''

She closed her eyes. She had done all of this on about ten minutes, and she had to go wash her hands fom all the blood before she ate anything. ''Please, watch over the fire'' she asked Regais, then walked to the pond. The water was so refreshing... She washed her hands and face, then returned to the treehouse.

Regalis watched the meat, but his mind remained focused around Elanor. The silver cross he had made on her forehead with his blood still remained. it was now more than a mere washable symbol. It was permanent and look more like she was born with it. Regalis sighed and gazed sadly into the flames. They danced and twirled and curled around the air only to snap backwards. Regalis cocked his head. Almost like his power..... How it twirled and swirled and leaped through the air. Suddenly, he jerked backwards, realizing with a start of shock that his power was brimming around him. it had enveloped itself around the fire and now, instead of a normal fire color, it was black and purple. Regalis yelped and his power snapped back into him, sending him sprawling into the grass. He lay there, breathing hard and sweat pouring off his face. Fire..... Not good.... For someone......... Who has many things........... To think about.... and such little control of his power. Regalis told Elanor, panting.

[Rayen]

Elanor ran to his side, startled. Her eyes showed guilt and regret. ''Sorry'' she whispered, concerned. ''I didn't know. Are you okay?'' She turned to the fire, and took off the rabbits. They were ready to eat. But she wasn't worried about their breakfast. Oh Lonely Gods, she would never pardon herself if anything happened to Regalis or Dreamsnare just because of her ignorance. If Regalis wouldn't have backed away, there could only be a burnt tree and two bodies on that same place by now. She knew he could do it, she had felt his power before. The only thing was, would he survive such a blast?

Regalis shook his head and rubbed the sweat of his face. I'm fine. Do not worry. He said, getting up slowly. He swayed slightly, then stood firmly. He sighed. I am sorry. I should of known something like this would happen. He frowned and rubbed his temple, closing his eyes. In fact.... I think it has happened before.... Many many years ago............ His thought voice was merely a whisper.

[Rayen]

Elanor stopped what she was doing to look at Regalis, curious. She took off one rabbit's leg and handed it to him, taking one for herself and biting it.

Regalis shook his head and grabbed the rabbit leg. he took a bite into it and his eyes widened with surprise. It's delicious! He exclaimed. her tore into the rabbit leg and he cleaned the bone so there was nothing left. Then he cracked open the bone and sucked the marrow out. (I don't like marrow that much. it's sort of gross.)
He sighed and nodded his head gratefully at Elanor. Thank you, Princess.

[Rayen]

''Why, thank you.'' Elanor seemed amused with Regalis's delight. ''One of the Ranger's favourite recipes to hunting days. We have to learn how to survive on the wilderness.'' She left out a little smile, and finished her part. ''If you want more, take it. I will save one for Dreamsnare, she might be hungry too.'' She handed him the rest of his rabbit, then turned to the pond. ''I'm going to get some water, please don't stare at the flames. I'll be right back.''

Regais grinned and dug into the rabbit. I will not. You be careful as well. He grinned as he ate the rabbit.
