Evil Forums? Almost there.

When I first joined, I found a happy community. Now I discover the dark underbelly of our formerly-lovely community. Hate to say it, but these forums have really, really gotten to me. Tonight has proven that Chicken Smoothie has many more liars, theives, jerks, pessimists and backstabbing, rotten, spoiled, shallow scum. Not the mods, they're fairly decent, but the amount of people who get overlooked is headachingly large. More often than not, I'm the one yelled at for something half the entire community does. As if my life doesn't suck already! So much for a family. So much for a good place to have a decent chat and not be acused of the tiniest things.

Sorry, I just had to get it out. Because If I don't, it'll just get worse.

I've worked hard to be here and I've worked harder to stay here. I won't let it be for nothing. CS is my home, and even though it hurts sometimes, I'm not letting that all go to waste.

I haven't been very active on the forums for a while now but have always lurked and liked the community. True, there are differences of opinion here, arguments over there, but in the end everyone's just happy to be in a community that enjoys and shares mostly the same things (eg. mostly, cute pets).

There will be good days and bad days, but for me it always depends on how each person handles it. I think any annoyance/grievance can be solved decently, as long as we are mature enough to handle it in a proper manner that does not require angry outburts and the like :3

I personally have never found the forums particularly "evil", that's such a strong word, and for something that just made you angry today...well, it might be a bit extreme, at least to me. I hope you have a better day soon, hopefully you'll be able to refocus again on what really matters here on CS n_n

Oh yes, that's quite true! But then again it is only immaturity that will force an argument into a full-fledged explosion -- the more mature people will either stay out of it, or find a way to douse it down :3 Anyway, anyone with sense will not want to have a go at anybody, that's just a waste of energy (at least for me) n.n

Of course there is the other sense that, what if the other party was saying the right thing, and we didn't want to listen. But then, it is up to us if we are mature enough to understand and accept that :3

Hmm... I've just recently become active because of a friend that's been posting about the community in her journals. I've had an account here for a while, though.

People seem nice enough, though, but if there's anything I've learned in my many years being a moderator for different message boards it's this: don't let people get under your skin, especially because this is the internet, and not real life. Also, if there's constructive criticism (and this goes for real life, too) to take it with a grain of salt.

The world is full of jerks and that's just the short of it. CS has a large community, so of course you're going to find quite a few.
