hey would anyone happen to know a good link that shows hardy live plants that can be put in with goldfish that dont mind being numed on abit? (I know java and anubias ferns are good and I'll definitely be getting some of those)
I'm planning on buying some now and putting them in the shrimp tank till they grow abit and hopefully they will be a decent size by the time the goldy tank is set up
sofar my goldy has some more white spots on his fins and body, I turned up the temp and added one lot of the salt this morning
he doesnt seem too bothered at the moment

http://www.kokosgoldfish.com/Plants.htmlHere are a few. They like duckweed but they will eat that and that will get caught in your filters.
Yay for salt!! Oh and you will want to sterilize them before you put them in any tank. Im not sure if you know this or not so ill post it anyways. I use 19 parts water to 1 part bleach( 19 OZ water 1 OZ bleach) and let sough stem plants(like anubias) sit for two minutes and soft stem plants(like moss and anacharis) set for one minute. Then a few rinses under tap then a soak in water conditioner.

my fish are my family, and every time I lose on its horribly sad....
For some reason my goldfish and Pleco's poop is green O.o they are all in the same tank. I'm wondering if this is bad?
My largest cichlid keeps shaking after eating?
Have they been eating anything green? If so then it would be fine. If you still have algae that could be it.
it probably is the algae then, because even though the suspended algae is gone, it's still on the rocks and they eat it

thanks so much

, I think I'll endup potting them that way they are easier to move and I'll probably endup using river rocks as substrate.
I keep you guys updated on how my little goldy is going (he still doesnt have a name Im thinking 'Jaffa' or something because hes just a orange ball lol)

What type of cichlids?
Honey, it's in the stars
And you're my everything from here to Mars
And every word I say I truly mean
Dear darling, I hope I'm being clear
'Cause there's no one like you on earth
That can be my universe
