Personally, I think they look nothing like the Marble Cats. They only similarity is the orb, which is just a mutation of some made up species. So, maybe make some changes, but DO NOT remove the whole species completely, c'mon. They're awesome ^^

To be honest, I really don't want to change it, especially the tail, but maybe I can alter it, like add different things (like yes, maybe an orb on the back) if that seems ok with Andiliion
