I'm one of the two senior trombone players in the top band at my high school. I'm going to Europe to play with a Colorado group this summer. I also play in a trombone quartet (we pulled 1's at a solo & ensemble festival 2 weeks ago).

Oh, how fun! x3 Our marching band went to Hawaii last year to participate in some festival, and I know they've gone to Europe a couple of times, though I haven't gone anywhere with them. ^^;;

Sweet, Trombone quartets are really nice sounding. o: So long as they cooperate with each other with tone and blending. xD But to place first, you guys obviously do that.

I play Clarinet. :) My entire family is very musical; mom plays sax, dad and grandpa are percussionists, (and the guy I like, and there's a funny story about that...:P) My brother plays flute, my grandma teaches choir and piano.

Sounds quite a bit like my family. ^_^ My dad plays the piano, mom sings and plays recorder. My sister plays violin and clarinet, my cousin is also a flute/picc player (like me :D), and my great aunt plays piano (and is amazing at it; I'm hoping she can be my piano accompanist for all-state auditions :3).

I play clarinet. Though I really want to take a break from band I'm not sure if I can. But sometimes it hurts to play like I can't hold my breath for very long and sometimes I feel like I have something stuck in my throat. :?

The best way to solve this is to practice, practice, practice. I notice my breath support decline when I miss just a day of practicing. ^_^

I try to practice at home but my dog whines and whines. It's so annoying and he just sits beside me whining and crying. He doesn't even get up and go somewhere else. Anyway I'm lazy. :P

my dog just walks (runs) out of the room...it's pretty funny.
Anyways, *plays clarinet and piano*

People keep telling me that playing clarinet helps alot to learn piano. Is that true?
I'd really like to learn piano, we have one, but no one will give me lessons =(

I'm in the Wind Ensemble at my school. I play the clarinet. My band program is having a fundraiser to get us all T-shirts that say band geek and proud of it! on them! ;)
