{Dever │ Sierra}
{ I glanced around, grinning as I waved to some pretty girls across the beach. The one sitting, tanning alone on the end seemed to stand out, though doing nothing, I don't think you'd really believe me. She just sat, watching the girls giggle to each other with an amused annoyed look. She payed no mind at all to me, which bothered me. Girls were all over me...well, they would be before they found out I couldn't surf--but, pff! Who needs surfing...I had made my parents get me a board for going to the beach so I wouldn't look like a loser. Ha...like I could look like a loser. My thoughts were distracted when I saw the girl wasn't there, but was walking over to a small group of guys--maybe 3 or 4 of them. She was handed a smoothie by the tallest one, and started talking to one with dirty blonde, and messy hair. She was glancing around before catching sight of me and quickly turning her gaze back to the boy. She left them within three minutes, before I found out her name. Sierra. That's a nice name, I decided. I saw she started to run toward the ocean, wanting to talk to her before she left, I stood in her path, and when she saw me, slowed down. A grin was on my face, as I looked at her up close. She was beautiful--a perfect figure...my kind of girl. She seemed annoyed with me, which I found rather attractive. My grin grew wider when she started to grow impatient. I could already tell--I'd love to annoy this girl. } {Sighing, I glared with an annoying look to the few girls that were a few feet away from me, giggling to themselves. Despite my annoyance, I some how found it amusing a smirked to myself. I ran my hand down the flat of my board, before jumping up and walking over to my three brother, Blake, Mikey and Domonic. Blake handed me a smoothie, thanking him I took it from his paws and took a sip before listening to Domonic ramble on about how annoying the girls here were. I laughed quietly to myself, and glanced around a bit bored-like. My gaze hit a boy--a cute boy with a surf bored. He looked a bit clueless about something--I wasn't sure what but he was. I quickly looked back to my brothers, being sure not to get too hung up on the feeling. "Hey, I'm gunna go surfing...see you guys later" Blake nodded, before looking to Dom and Mikey as Mikey said, "Meet us back here at three, kay?" I nodded, before trotting off and hearing their calls, "Later, Sierra!" I continued to the waves only to be met by the boy I had looked at earlier. I glanced up and down at him awkwardly, before coughing, but not saying anything. He obviously was standing there on purpose with a stupid grin on his face..and he had been standing near some girls earlier. Now he was just in the middle of the beach. I rolled my eyes, placing my hand on my hip when he didn't move. }
why do i and everyone
i love, chose people
who treat us like
we're nothing
But I will
soon forget
the color of
your eyes
And you'll
forget mine
because we
accept the love
we think we
deserve.

"A heart of pure gold" I sighed || "His eyes like a stormy sea" I crooned"The way she strode into the room, an image of grace" || "They way he stood there, as if expecting me""Her hands smooth as silk" || "His arms strong like an oak""Her eyes sparkled as we twirling" || " His white teeth flashing as he smiled""To music stopped, the dance ended" || "I stayed wrapped in his arms until the music started again""She leaned in close, her head on my chest" || "I looked up at him, the kindness in his face""She kissed me, a gentle peck like the flutter of butterfly wings" || "I kissed him, my eyes closing as we stopped dancing""I pulled her closer, the other dancers twirling around us" || "We were oblivious to the world"
Every sailor knows
that the sea is a friend made enemy
Every shipwrecked soul
knows what it is to live without intimacy
I thought I heard the captains voice
but its hard to listen while you preach
Like every broken wave on the shore
this is as far as I could reach

Storm and Shadow
I can still remember the day I first met him.
I stood alone on the Beach of Misery, broken, confused and lost. Betrayed by all whom I thought I could trust. Torn to shreads, dying inside. Slumping to the ground, sand swirled around me with the mist as I stared blankly out over the choppy waters. Unmoving, I couldn't cry. All my tears had long since been spent. I had lost all faith in everyone.
Then I heard his voice.
Shocked, I looked up. A boy of my same age was standing in the ocean, the dark waters whirling around his waist. I could only see his upper body. Confused, I pushed myself slowly and painfully to my feet, and took a hesitant step towards the waves, listening hard, trying to hear what he was saying. Once again, he spoke.
"Come here to me, I'll protect you. You can trust me, I'll never betray you," his voice called softly. I made my way to the edge of the water, and he came closer. "What is your name?"
"I'm Shadow..." I said nervously. I didn't know who this was, and he didn't know me. How could I trust him?
"Shadow..." he murmered thoughtfully. "My name is Storm." His eyes locked with mine, holding contact. I found myself falling deep into his bright blue orbs, and from that moment, I was doomed.
I returned time after time with my troubles, and I spilled them to him.
He comforted me, and promised everything would be ok in the end. "Things will get better, I promise!" he'd always say. "And you needn't ever be afraid, I'll always be here for you." And then I would smile, believing every word as stood beside him on the shore as he floated in the waves. Sometimes, he wouldn't always be at the beach when I would come, but I was more than willing to wait for him, even though it hurt me inside.
I began to slowly get to know him better, but still felt as though I only knew half of him.
Not that it mattered to me, I was so deeply in love. I, with all my heart, truly believed that as time moved on, I would slowly find that other half, and that it would be just as beautiful as the half I already knew. I had learned to trust again, and I thought for sure that I would never be let down again, at least with him.
I had been visiting him for nearly three years when it happened.
I had returned to the beach to visit him like always, and I spotted him in the water. I called to him, and waved, trying to pull his attention to me. But he ignored me, swimming up towards another part of the shore. Feeling a sting of pain within my chest, I silently followed. As the fog cleared away in front of me, I saw a group of girls standing in the water. Storm came up them, happily greeting them. I made my way up, sure that Storm would welcome me. The group turned to look at me, and I shyly gave a hello. The girls responded with bright smiles and warm welcomes. But Storm said nothing. Confusion blossoming in my chest, I tried to get his attention and join in the converstion. But no matter what I did, none of my now desperate attempts worked. Finally, the girls left, bidding Storm and I farewell, and disappered into the thick cloud of mist. Turning to Storm, I once again began to talk, sure that now he would speak to me. But he gave me no thoughtful answers, as though he couldn't believe I was trying to talk to him. Now horrified on the inside, I continued to try, but he cut me short, saying that he must go, and swam off aburptly.
I returned once again, and this time I found what I had been seeking. And it shook me to my very core.
I finally caught him alone at the shoreline. Out of desperation, I plunged into the water, something I had never dared do before. I ran to him, but he seemed digusted by me. He didn't even need to say anything, it was all written in his eyes. As I stood distressed, the tide suddenly gave a mighty pull out. And I finally saw it. Storm wasn't human, and never had been. I horrible, long shark's tail consumed his body from the waste down. Stifling a scream, I turned and fled up the beach, sand flying up in clouds as I ran. Tears streamed down my face.
I should have known. What am I doing, turning my life into a metaphor? ;A;

-- The Mermaid --
-- The Non-Confident -- GuyIt was early in the morning and Gabe was about to go on his morning walk. "See you later mom! Going on my run!" Gabe surely knew his mom would over-worry, so he told her every time he went on his run. His first stop was the dock, where boats where less crowded and he got to see the glistening ocean. When he arrived he noticed something unusual. There had to be some boats, but there wasn't. He had a sudden urge to look in the water when he saw a flick of some sort of tail. "W-what?" he said feeling a sudden faster beat to his heart. He decided he would go into the water and take a quick look around. He took his shirt off and went in. After a while of searching he gave up, and came to a conclusion of thinking it was just a Baramundi fish. Right when he was swimming up the shore he saw something so, beautiful..and nothing he haven't seen, so eye catching... He surely knew they weren't real, but--mermaids weren't in just fairy tales.
[[Should I continue]]?
--Part 2--
Gabe was astonished. "You're a...a mermaid?" the mermaid just stood there blinking. "I am a mermaid. Yes." Gabe had all these questions to ask so he just blurted out "W-what are you doing here?" he clears his voice so it isn't so squeaky. "I saw some fish come towards this way..and the next thing you know I hear a large noice and I black out..." the mermaid explains very queasy. Gabe starts to talk when is starts to rain. "Well is there some way I can help? Place to stay..food...anything?" At this point, Gabe feels a bit desperate. The mermaid smiles and then suddenly blushes. "Well...I could use a place to stay..b-but only for one night." Gabe feels much happier. "Okay then. Come with me." he starts to walk when.. "Wait!" the mermaid goes under water and Gabe sees a bright light from the water and the mermaid comes up with legs. Gabe's eyes widen seeing such a beautiful teen, about his age. "You're...the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my life." She blushes so hard her face is as read as a tomato. "Thanks." "We better go because its going to get slippery on they way back home if we don't." Gabe waves her over and they talk for a while. "I'm Gabe, what's your name?" "My name is Aurora." Gabe was impressed by the name. By the time they were done talking they arrived at home. "Hold on Aurora, okay?" he steps in the door and heads straight to his mom. "Mom!" "Yes dear?" "So...this girl..I found her at the dock and she seems hurt. She blacked out in the water." Gabe mom looks concerned. "Does she have anywhere to stay?" "Well...no so I was wondering if she could stay for just a while?" Gabe smiles. "Well...okay. But only for a few days." Gabe hugs his mom excitedly.

SkylerI kicked, or rather, flicked my tail. I was far from the shoreline of those normal wolves, and I didn't want to frighten them by getting any closer. I watched them, hoping for a chance to rush in and save someone. They might've accepted me. I swam a little bit more, keeping out of sight. Then I spotted the most irresistible wolf ever. She was laughing and giggling with her friends, watching some male wolves as they passed and waved. She waved back to them and covered her face with her long brown hair and continued watching her. He hadn't even noticed that he'd gotten closer at all. All of a sudden, someone screamed.
"Shark-wolf!" they yelled. His eyes tore away from the wolf and stared in horror at his tail. It was just in sight for them to see. He looked about as the wolves panicked and hurried to the shore, while some brave, or rather really stupid wolves, raced into the water to fend me off. I snapped and bit into the first wolf. He yelped, and I let go. I wasn't a killer. I could never be. Not like my dad, not like my mum, not like any of the shark-wolves. I watched as the wolves toppled in the water, racing to get to me, to be announced hero of the beach or something, then stole a glance at the young she-wolf.
Her ears were flattened and she slowly backed from the water. Her smile had been turned upside down - a frown. My heart felt like it was torn to two, and I couldn't stand it. I looked at the wolves charging at me, then once more at her, before turning away to get back home.~+~I sat with my buds, sitting under the umbrella on a towel. We were sharing gossips, jokes and everything normal. Clara and Q were looking at some guys, giggling about how they looked. I found them average, while they thought they looked hot, or cool. I shrugged, but laughed anyway - but I noticed something from the corner of my eye. I giggled with Clara and Q, but continued watching it. I made it's shape out - a wolf, waist up. He looked weak, but somehow, quite majestic in those waters, with the twinkly things on his wrists. His head was held high and his citrus green eyes were... staring at me. I quickly looked away, stared at my friends. Why was he staring at me? A gang of surfers - 3 wolves - walked by us, and waved at us. They looked okay to me, but just one of them caught my attention. His red, almost pink, eyes seemed to shine when he waved. I smiled and waved back, giggling. A real giggle. I hid my face behind my hair, covering it, hoping this was normal. I snuck a glance at him and he laughed. I blushed and stared at the sand, tracing shapes in the sand.
"Shark-wolf!" someone screamed. I turned to look, and there, the mysterious wolf, near the shoreline, swished his shark tail, still watching me. I was getting creeped out. Everyone panicked, and all I could do was back away from the water, from the shade of my umbrella. Several male wolves rushed carelessly into the water, and I watched as the boy who'd waved at me raced it, leading the army of careless wolves. I watched in horror as the shark-wolf bit into him, then let go. Which was odd. Shark-wolves were vicious, crazy, aggressive monsters. I watched as he snuck a glance behind the victim, at me, then at his pursuers, then at me again and turned, swimming out to the ocean. I sighed, then raced out to the boy.((Should I continue their story? owo))

Silence.
"Oh you do, do you? Well why don't you?"Good question. I hesitate. He always knows how to catch me off guard. I flounder for something to say, then come short. "I hate you." Is the whisper that leaves my lips.
He's laughing at me.
"I hate you, I hate you, I hate you." He sings, his eyes taunting me.
"I wish I knew how to hurt you properly." I snap. "Then you'd be sorry."
He feigns fear.
"Well, until then, I'm just going to watch you go black inside."----
"Daven? What are you doing in there?"My mother.
With a start, my attention is ripped back to where I am. My bedroom.
I stand up, and put the mirror back in it's place.

Pet's name: The girl he left
Adopt virtual pets at Chicken Smoothie!I stood there on the altar. My heart was thumping, and my eyes were watching the door. It was typical of him, to be late while it should have been me the bride. //This was fun to write. I hope you have as much fun reading it as I did writing it!//

Where I live, there is a myth. A myth of a man with a tail unlike that of ours, strange and alien, more akin to those of other ocean creatures.
He is said to be immensely handsome, one look and you are his. Savage beauty.
He wears a beautiful gold necklace that is said to have once belonged to a royal maiden of the land, he convinced her to enter the sea where she was swallowed up by the waves, and then by him. He needs to eat.
But I would look for him. I would find him.
Why? Because I need to destroy him. When one of us would wander too far from our cities, our homes, he comes, and they are never seen again.
I guess we must make a tasty snack. Disgusting.
I would do anything to help my people.
So, armed only with my wits, my skills, and my charm [something I didn't really have in abundance, but every bit counts], I set off on the journey to find the dreaded creature's home.
...
After many hours of traveling and I don't know how many circles I found it. It was an ugly rocky cave, surrounded by the bones of creatures, from small fish to whales. I shuddered when I saw a skull of one of my kind, suddenly glad I had eaten light. I swam inside.
It was dark. But other then dark it smelled. The cave had smelled bad outside, but inside it was disgusting! Covering my nose, I looked around for the monster.
"Well hello beautiful," Said a sweet, seductive masculine voice. "It's nice of you to join me here, in my home. Most of your kind doesn't venture out this far, and so I have to take matters into my own webbed hands."
He gently touched my shoulder, and I flinched at the contact. His hand was cold.
"Well? Aren't you going to say something? Or at least turn around so I can see your beautiful face," He said again. But I was still, not looking at him in the fear that I, too would be transfixed by his charm.
"No," I said quietly, my normally abundant courage and spite drained by the presence of this horrible beast with the silken voice.
"No?" Echoed the creature "Well then, why did you come to see me? Is it to end my life?"
The way he said those last words was horrible, the sweetness of his voiced waned and was replaced with a growl. A shrill laugh came after those growled words, making it even more horrible. I felt like I was going to throw up, from the smell and the voice. I hated it. I wanted it to stop. I wanted to go home, to live in blissful peace.
But I would have no such choice, because I felt the water surge behind me. I whipped around, and saw the flashing teeth of the creature as it charged me.
We fought, glasses dislodged, kelp green hair whipped around, teeth flashed, tails flopped, golden jewelry fell to the cave floor.
After it was all over, I floated over the body of my adversary. Covered with cuts and scrapes, my hair in disarray, my necklace nowhere to be seen, I was victorious. I looked down at the body of the beast.
Kelp green hair and a green finned tail.
He wasn't even that handsome.
And so with a flick of my tail I was off, to spread word of the victory through all of the mer-shark kingdom.
