Seeing no one there she took the liberty to walk around outside, looking to see if anyone was near. The barn seemed a great place to go, so she slowly made her way there, still holding the leach of Mocha. Hear anything, Djinn? She smirked at the dog, who no doubt was sweating under the coat of fur. She turned and started to enter the barn. Dusty, but a clean dust settled everywhere. The strong scent of straw came from each stall as she peeked over one to find herself looking at a tall mare. She patted it's muzzle before continuing, deciding that they had decent stalls.
Ash woke up in a panic before remembering she was still in that blasted trailer. They had stopped, but she knew it wasn't the ending, for the engine was still running. She smelt food, but human food. The disgusting smell of grease made her sneeze. Shaking her head, as if trying to rid the smell of her mind, she focused on the light from outside. They had only been traveling for several hours, and her feet were sore from standing up. She heard the car doors slam before finally falling back into a deep sleep.
Following Surayya, she winced at the smell of mice, knowing that if she chased after them, Surayya would probably scold her. Resisting the idea, she concentrated on the horses that were in the stall. For instance, this one had a pile of straw in one corner and the other one didn't. Looking up, tired of looking at horses, she watched the rafters, counting them in her mind.
