Robinstar saw Sablefur coming out of the warriors den, looking a bit ruffled, like she had just woken up. "Morning Sablefur, Did you sleep well?" He asked, making idle conversation. He started toward the freshkill pile and scooped up a mouse, then sat down on the large flat rock that was next to the warriors den. Almost as soon as he started his mouse, Stringfur came out of the warriors den, which made three, enough cats to go on the morning hunting patrol. He decided he would finish his mouse, and let the two warriors eat as well, then they could go on the hunting patrol. Rosethorn could assign the rest of the patrols when she woke up.

Sablefur walked with Robinstar to the freshkill pile and picked a vole, staying silent the whole time. She sat down beside him, looking at the vole but not eating. She finally meowed, "I had a dream. Well, a nightmare. I was hunting in our territory when I was attacked by a Sunclan patrol." She kept her eyes on the vole, not exactly hungry. "It was..." she continued. "The first cat laughed at me. None of them said anything, they just laughed and attacked." Her fur bristled again at the thought of the cats swarming her.

Robinstar
Robinstar listened when Sablefur told him about her nightmare. "That sounds very strange. Don't worry too much about it though, it was just a dream after all. Anyways, I'm going to take you and Stringfur on the morning hunting patrol if you don't mind." He said, hoping that she would be good with that. He didn't really want to make her come if she didn't want to, even though he could order her to, it was more polite not to.

Starlingpaw yawned and padded out to the forest, searching for herbs. As soon as he had found marigold and some cobwebs, he walked back to his den and sorted out the dry ones and the fresh ones. He peeked out of his den, seeing Robinstar and Sablefur. "Good morning!" he said.

Sablefur nodded. "Alright!" she meowed, her mood changing drastically. Robinstar was right; it was just a dream, and she was neither a Medicine cat nor the leader. She started eating the vole with newly realized hunger. When she heard Starlingpaw, she meowed brightly, "Good morning!"

Goldenpaw woke up and stretched. She peeked outside the apprentices' den, and saw Sablefur talking with Robinstar. She bounded out, nearly running into Robinstar. "Sorry," she mewed, nodding. "And good morning!" She turned to Sablefur and asked, "Are we going hunting today? I really want to practice!"

Sablefur flicked her tail in amusement. "That would be up to Robinstar. We are going on the morning hunting patrol with Stringfur."

Stringfur padded up, overhearing the conversation. "I'm ready whenever," he meowed, looking like he would rather curl up and go back to sleep than come on a hunting patrol.

Starlingpaw smiled and looked at his pile of herbs. It was lower than he thought. Hmm... I need dried oak leaves and coltsfoot... He shook his head and padded to the freshkill pile, picking out a shrew. He munched at it hungrily.

Robinstar

Robinstar nodded to Goldenpaw as she asked about hunting. "I was planning on taking all of you on the hunting patrol, so yes, you will be getting some practice." He was very glad to see that the apprentice was so eager. He would have to remember to watch her carefully and see how well she did with the hunting today. Goldenpaw was nearing that age where it was time to start considering them for warriors after all. It would still be a few moons for sure, but keeping your eyes on the apprentices was always a good plan. In fact it got him to thinking of how well Starlingpaw seemed to be handling the medicine cat duties. And to think he had only been an apprentice for two moons. He took another bite of his mouse, it was almost gone.

Wrenpaw

Wrenpaw yawned as she woke up. She stood, stretched, and sat back down, licking a few bits of moss out of her fur before she left the den. She hated being seen around with a dirty pelt. She saw her brother across camp, and thought it the perfect time to go talk to the tom, so she picked a mouse out of the freshkill pile and walked over, sitting right next to him. "So, Starlingpaw, how've things been going with your training?"

((Remember, other than NPCs, all characters have to have four lines. It is alright if they are split up for things like a conversation between two of yours, but they do all need four lines total on the post.))

Sablefur took a few more bites of the vole thoughtfully. Goldenpaw was progressing quite well, but she seemed too excited. Too ready. She scared off half of the prey she tried to catch. When she did catch anything, she was quite good, but once she caught one thing, she would get too cocky. She would think she could capture anything. Sablefur hoped she would pay attention and not get overexcited this time. She quickly finished off the vole, cleaning her whiskers in satisfaction.

"Thank you so much!" Goldenpaw meowed excitedly. She felt so honored. She was going hunting with Robinstar, the clan leader! She would have to do her best, no fumbling or yelling when she didn't catch something. No, she would catch everything. She refused to fail while hunting in front of Robinstar. She bounded over to the fresh-kill pile, knowing she would need her strength. She picked a small mouse, and started wolfing it down, all the while going over in her head the many hunting techniques Sablefur had taught her.

Robinstar

Robinstar gave a small purr of amusement. "Don't eat too fast or you'll make yourself sick." He reminded the eager apprentice. Though he couldn't blame her for being excited, he remembered those rare chances when he got to go hunting with Maplestar, he had been just as nervous and excited as he could see that Goldenpaw was. It was strange how different things were looking at things from his position than they had been all those moons ago.

Starlingpaw smiled when he saw his brother. His tail curled to Wrenpaw's ears. "Great, though the herb list is low. Everything else I think is okay." He took another bite out of the shrew, then gulping it. It felt so warm in his stomach, and the taste was great. His favorite. "How about yours?" As soon as he finished the shrew, he clawed at the dirt. Clawmarks were made, but not as much as warriors. He sighed. He loved his duties, but he slightly wished that he were more stronger than at least a new born kit. And he wasn't.
