Lina rode through the grassy plain, delight and exhilaration running through her.

The early morning sun rays filtered through the tree branches, waking Elanor. She slowly got up, and looked around, at first not recognizing the treehouse. Then she remembered all what had happened on the day before, and she got up hurriedly. She quickly brushed her hair back in place with her fingers, and went searching for Regalis.

Regalis knelt by the pond and gazed at his reflection. He frowned and a memory stirred in the back of his head. Slowly, he stat down and took out his Ocarina. He began to play. His music this time was Quick and happy. Animals around him stopped to listen, swaying happily.

Elanor heard the song and followed the sound until she found Regalis kneeling by a pond, surrounded by animals and playing his ocarina. She stopped and listened silently to the music until it stopped, then she approached, looking at his face by the reflex on the water.

''You know, I'll go away to hunt'' she said quietly on his mind. ''I haven't eaten anything since yesterday morning and I'm starting to feel a bit hungry.''

Regalis grinned into the water. Whatever you want is fine. I don't mind. He frowned sadly and his reflection rippled. Suddenly, it wasn't his reflection anymore. The face was older and had black hair like his. But he had a small buzzed beard on his chin. A long scar raced down his left eye, ending in an X with another scar. The eyes were a lion amber. Regalis yelped and jumped backwards, the animals raced away in fright. he looked back at the reflection was his own. He had never seen the face before, yet it was so familiar to him.

Elanor's eyes widened. ''What was it?'' she asked, startled. She had seen it too. Now, she was worried, and her plans on hunting were brushed to second place. ''Are you okay?'' she asked, looking into his deep blue eyes, trying to understand his feelings. Once in her whole life, she wished to tune in. But her 'gift', uncontrollable as it was, wouldn't let her. She sighed, fustrated, and awaited Regalis's response.

Regalis shook his head. A face.... I've never seen it before yet I think I know him..... He thought, shocked. He shook his head and rubbed his temple. He turned to Elanor. Can I come hunting with you? He asked, trying to change the topic. He walked over to a tree and took a black bow and a black quiver with black arrows fletched with silver feathers. He slung his bow and notched and arrow. Then he slung it over his shoulder and grinned at Elanor.

[Rayen]

''Sure'' Elanor smiled, accepting the topic change without commenting it. She left out a smile and took out of her belt a silver hunt dagger. She ran through the forest, on the fresh grass, and smelled the air. There were some rabbits on the left side. She ran towards the place they were on and hided behind the bushes. ''At the count of three'' she said to Regalis.

''One... two... three. NOW'' she said mentally, and leaped forward.

Regalis dropped to a knew and loosed three arrows in little than three seconds. He pinned each rabbit to the ground by their hind legs. They struggled to get free, but the arrows were buried just right into their legs and the ground. All yours. He said with a grin. It had taken only four seconds for him to aim, judge the distance, the wind, and the length for the shot. With three arrows. One reason why the rangers were fond of him. For his extraordinary archer skills.
