what happens if you fall in love?
well, you don't really believe that, do you?
it's love. not santa claus.
"this is a story of boy meets girl, but you should know upfront, this is not a love story."
(i highly doubt most of you will get the reference, but for those of you that do - you must be awesome.
anyway, this is my favorite movie of all time. <3)
Ohmygoodness! That's my favorite movie! <3
It's so weird that you just happened to post this; I've been planning to watch that movie all day. xD
ermahgerd! I adore this movie, fantastic! ♥

“
When you are born,” the golem said
softly, “your courage is new and clean.
You are brave enough for anything:
crawling off of staircases, saying your
first words without fearing that someone
will think you are foolish, putting strange
things in your mouth. But as you get
older, your courage attracts gunk, and
crusty things, and dirt, and fear, and
knowing how bad things can get and
what pain feels like. By the time you’re
half-grown, your courage barely moves
at all, it’s so grunged up with living. So
every once in awhile, you have to scrub
it up and get the works going, or else
you’ll never be brave again.

There's a siren song running all night long,
From the beach down to the bay;
Waves lapped against the edge of her surfboard, the sinking sun turning the surf a fading red. One hand slipped through the water, fingers curling. Resting her head on her other hand, the girl started to sing, voice rising in time with the tide.
A sudden splash broke her thoughts, startling her into silence as she turned, half rising on the board as she looked for the source.
Sea blue eyes met her own, crinkling at the corners as a smile broke the face of the young man who had surfaced nearby, hair flopping in his eyes.
"I just wanted to say, you have a very lovely voice."
And seagulls cry as the song goes on,
And the sailors swim away.
.
.And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Great clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above
Oh where do we begin?
The rubble or our sins?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?.

If there are any advantages to being a Squalman, I don't know what they are. The Mermen and Mermaids of this land have an extremely strict social hierarchy, which conveniently places every single Squalman and Squalmaid beneath literally everyone. Even the Mer prisoners beneath the Courtrooms can make us do their biddings. They keep nearly the entirety of our food from us, and they don't even eat it themselves (Mers take pride in having an herbivorous diet). They keep the creatures we eat at pets and companions as pets, for mere pleasure. I've seen so many Squals sick and thinner than a dried piece of kelp from being forced to consume seaweed just to survive. I've seen them die before my eyes, slender enough that I can count each of their ribs, while the Mers lying ignorantly in the sunbeams near the surface, fat from the abundance of food at their disposal. Mers are fond of throwing enormous Galas and parties, to which the Squakls are never invited. We are given the trenches to live in, which are full of garbage and litter that has sunk down there from the Surface. I hate them. I would even go so far as to say that I hate them all, but that would be a downright lie. And my mother taught me not to lie. So, I hate them all... save one.
Dammit, she's beautiful. Her fins like to shimmer, so they really don't have their own color, they take on the color of what ever is beside them. Her hair billows in clouds around her head. She is always followed by a cloud of small animals... delicious looking small animals... how I would love to taste one, to feel the rush of blood on the back of my throat, to - never mind. Where was I? Oh, yes. I don't know why I love her the way I do. She can be snappish and rude when someone pushes her too far, but I've seen her soft and gentle side. But she has never seen me. Ra Tova, Princess of the Kole Clan, could never look past my horrid grey striped fins and find something, anything to love. That I know for certain.

that's just part one, there will be more ;3 i know that seemed pretty cliche, but it will get better. (hopefully)

Gabe surely knew his mom would over-worry, so he told her every time he went on his run. His first stop was the dock, where boats where less crowded and he got to see the glistening ocean. When he arrived he noticed something unusual. There had to be some boats, but there wasn't. He had a sudden urge to look in the water when he saw a flick of some sort of tail. "W-what?" he said feeling a sudden faster beat to his heart. He decided he would go into the water and take a quick look around. He took his shirt off and went in. After a while of searching he gave up, and came to a conclusion of thinking it was just a Baramundi fish. Right when he was swimming up the shore he saw something so, beautiful..and nothing he haven't seen, so eye catching... He surely knew they weren't real, but--mermaids weren't in just fairy tales.

Martha & Kaiden
Kaiden walks up to Martha and says, "I've got your favorite!" Martha says, "Is it ice cream?" Kaiden then pulls out two ice creams and says, "I got cookies n' cream just for you <3" Martha smiles and says, "Awww! Thanks Kaiden, and here's something from me," Martha then kisses him and the cheek and says, "I love you, Kaiden," He smiles and says, "I love you too, Martha"

"I hate you."
He stares back, a grotesque grin on his face.
"Of course you do."I feel my face grow hot. "I do. I want to...I want.."
"What do you want?"I bite my lip, run a hand through my hair. He mimics me. "I want...I want to kill you."
Silence.
"Oh you do, do you? Well why don't you?"Good question. I hesitate. He always knows how to catch me off guard. I flounder for something to say, then come short. "I hate you." Is the whisper that leaves my lips.
He's laughing at me.
"I hate you, I hate you, I hate you." He sings, his eyes taunting me.
"I wish I knew how to hurt you properly." I snap. "Then you'd be sorry."
He feigns fear.
"Well, until then, I'm just going to watch you go black inside."----
"Daven? What are you doing in there?"My mother.
With a start, my attention is ripped back to where I am. My bedroom.
I stand up, and put the mirror back in it's place.

Was it too much to ask? Was it too much to ask that I just sit quietly in the shadows of the Mer Palace, and watch Tova sleep in the courtyard? Yes, of course it was. But I figured that, even if I was caught on the Palace grounds and beheaded, at least I would be able to watch my muse, my beautiful object of interest, as she slept. Watching her sides rise and fall gently, and trying not to watch the creatures burrowing in the sand all around her, I was lost in thought. I must be insane. Absolutely and completely insane. For what Squalman in his right mind would fall for the Ra, the princess, of the Kole Clan? But I can't help it. By all "normal" standards I should be attracted to one of my own species, attracted to a Squalmaid. But I never have been. Maybe there's something wrong with me. Maybe I'm not because of my continued loathing for what I am, maybe I'm just in denial. Maybe this love for Mers, her in particular, come from my dearest wish to live among them, rather than in a litter-filled trench.
A cascade of bubbles and a swishing of fins alerted be of the guard's presence. He was wearing a helmet carved from a great conch shell and stained green, the color of royalty. He had a dark scar on his shoulder, in the shape of the Kole crest. The tip of a Mer tail with the sun resting between the two points.
"Oi! No visitors are allowed on the Palace grounds!" he said.
Thank God. He hadn't seen my fins, or my fangs. He thought I was a Mer. I nodded quickly, not wanting to talk in case he recognized me for what I was by my husky, rasping voice. I scraped my tail back several paces, stirring up as much sand as I could. It billowed in clouds all around my body, concealing my striped, rubbery fins from his veiw as I turned tail and swam quickly, batting my tail right, then left, right, left, right left. There was no rush of movement behind me, he had not seen. I could breathe again.
