Aeryn felt her legs burning, along with her lungs as she kept running. Her eyes were narrowed in fear now, looking for a decent route away from the creature as it gained speed as she lost it. She needed to think, and fast, what could she use to slow it down, or stop it! She took a sharp right, nearly collapsing to the sidewalk as she did so because she slipped. The creature skidded around the corner faster, and Aeryn felt chills go up her spine as she pushed garbage cans down, hopng to block it's path, but it simply crawled right over them. She couldn't stay calm no matter how hard she tried, she was high-wired with adrenaline as i t coursed through her veins.
All of a sudden, Aeryn slipped when trying to take another sharp corner. Her legs were too weak and had turned into jello it seemed, making her unable to make a decent turn. As she did, Aeryn landed hard on her back, knocking the wind out of her. She tried to scramble to her feet, heaving and panting as she felt a pnsir touch her boot, but just wasn't fast enough. She looked around frantically and spotted an aluminum soda pop can. She snatched it up and whipped it at the creature, hitting it's head as it reared back, making it chatter with rage. Aeryn again began to scramble back, wanting to distance herself from the creature, but it was no use. The creature came up again, all of its legs moving, creating the clicking noise that she had heard earlier. Aeryn was propped up by her elbows, her knees in the air as she tried to move back, but now all she could do was stare at the creature and listen as her heartbeat echoed in her eardrums.
"Please!" She shrieked, squeezing her eyes shut as the dinosaur came down,"Help me!" Raising her arm in front of her face, just as the creature plunged in. Aeryn let out a gasp when the pinching ceased, and the creature yanked it's spike like appendage from her arm. She fell back onto the ground, cradling her arm close as the area around the wound swelled considerably and pain surged through her in waves. She lay on the ground, shuddering and jerking everyso often, holding her arm and gnawing at her lowe lip, hoping to hold back the tears of pain. She felt a tingling sensation in her legs, and she tried to move them, but wasn't sure if she could. A convulsion burst through her, and she gritted her teeth as she writhed around, pain filling her.

❝Is it true? True love only exists in fairytales?❞
