I'd ask beforehand, so that there's less of a chance of you waking up from anesthesia and barfing right away, which happened to me the time before my most recent surgery. The meds can work pretty quick, but it's probably better to try to get it in you prior to waking up. ^^

I'd ask before and after(if you can) for the medication, I've never gotten nauseous after surgery, though none of surgeries took my tonsils out.

I personally don't think I'm going to throw up- I haven't done so in years (and would like to keep it that way), but I despise anything to do with it so much that I'm extremely paranoid, no matter how much I tell myself it's not a big deal.

My sore throat is gone for now after eating a bowl of ice cream, but now my head hurts. It's hurt constantly for four or five days now and I can't take Ibuprofen because of the surgery. The meds that my mom are giving me aren't working. /feels like I'm complaining too much

If I'm listening to a happy song, I start crying now.
If I listen to sad song, I'm OK.
I have a feeling that's not normal.
Especially since before today, it was always the opposite; I cried during sad songs and was OK with happy songs.

Also, I have a feeling it's not normal to start smiling when I'm crying unless I force myself not to smile.
I bet I look so weird when I'm crying.
I'm glaring and smiling while tears come out of my eyes.
And I also have a feeling it's not normal for the area between my eyebrows to hurt when I glare, or for my cheeks to hurt when I smile.
