Butterkit sighed and blinked her eyes. "I guess your right..."

Patchfang listened to Larksong, and he flicked a ear before looking at Duststrike. "And we have to hurry, Yewclaw is planning something, Greystar needs to hear it."

Nightshadow smirked and his claws unsheathed before he ran, along with the other dark forest cats.

[walk.]

Jaywing stared at the ground as she ran, her friend Tigerblaze looked over and mewed, "I know you miss Bluewhisker but please Jay, you have to do this for Yewclaw. He needs you in this raid!"

Duststrike mewed, "Let's get moving." the warrior sped of through the undergrowth with Bluewhisker right behind and soon the tall, lanky warrior had caught up with the senior warrior and had over taken him. Larksong ran as fast as she could, although she was slower than usual mist clan cats, she had amazing stamina from training with Nightshadow.

Shimmerfur chuckled and mewed, "Think on the bright side, you have time to play with Cloudkit!"

Nightshadow looked over at Jaywing and Tigerblaze. "Jaywing, if you don't fight with all you have we will all get killed again, so push Bluewhisker out of your mind and concentrate!"

Patchfang raced after the three cats, they were faster then him. "Hey! Its no fair, you're all faster then me!" He meowed when he finally caught up with them.

Butterkit sighed. "But Cloudkit doesn't like to play."

Jaywing sharply looked over at Nightshadow and snapped, "I don't need you to tell me what to do! I know where my place is and what is expected from me Nightshadow, you may be deputy but you can't boss around warriors like that." she shot ahead of him, her speed coming into action. Tigerblaze sighed and glared at Nightshadow.

Larksong laughed and gave him and swift lick on the ear before going shooting past him. Duststrike slowed down as he entered camp and cried, "Greystar? Greystar!? Emberheart! Where is Greystar?!" Emberheart mewed calmly, "I don't know Duststrike. But tell me and I'll sort it." Duststrike paused to catch his breath then mewed, "Night clan is going to be attacked by the dark forest, Yewclaw is leading them!" Emberheart swore under his breath and mewed, "Willowbreeze, Shimmerfur and Flareleap, guard the nursery and the kits. Emberfrost, Gingerfur and Leopardheart, help the apprentices to defeat their opponants, some have had no battle training so will need your help. Smallfrost and Gremlinstorm, guard the medicine den and keep Pondweed safe at all costs. If you are injured in the battle go to the elders den, Stormstone and Juniperberry will tend to you there."

Nightshadow growled and his tail bristled slightly.

Willowbreeze nodded, then she scented the air before Butterkit came charging out of the nursery. "Angel and Rosepetal are missing!" She meowed and Willowbreeze looked at the kit. "Go back into the nursery." Emberfrost, Gingerfur and Leopardheart all nodded. Smallfrost looked at Gremlinstorm and flicked an ear before going over to the medicine cat den.

Patchfang flickered his tail and tasted the air.

Emberheart looked over and gave an exasperated sigh and mewed, "We don't have time to go looking for them!" then a voice came from the bushes and mewed, "You are right, your time is up." Emberheart looked over to see Yewclaw grinning slyly at him and yowled, "Fight!" Tigerblaze looked around and went straight for the nursery and leapt onto Emberfrost. Emberheart looked around but soon he had found Nightshadow and was clawing at the deputy. Yewclaw looked around and smiled, "Duststrike, it's been a while..." and the brothers collided. Duststrike heaved Yewclaw to the ground and dug in fiercly into Yewclaw's neck. The leader screeched in anger and pain and thrust his brother of and spat, "You have improoved further......." Jaywing looked and spotted Bluewhisker in mid battle with Boulderclaw. She growled and ran at him, and pushed Boulderclaw away and growled, "Go for the medicine cat den, I can handle him!" she faced of with Bluewhisker and soon she lay on the floor, breathing heavily.

Emberfrost hissed and spat angrily, thrashing around and trying to throw Tigerblaze off. Smallfrost stood in front of the medicine cat den, looking for any cats that tried to get through. Nightshadow snarled and grabbed Emberheart's ear. Morningrain glanced around and she spotted Duststrike and Yewclaw fighting not far from where she was. Her eyes were wide, the pupils were slits.

Tigerblaze bit down hard and went crashing into the nursery door. Miraclekit wailed and Shiverkit screeched as the lumbering warrior appeared in the open. A flash of red appeaered in Flareleap's eyes and she leapt onto him. She clawed his back but soon Tigerblaze had Cloudkit in his jaws. Suddenly a flash of brown and white and Hawkpaw was clawing desperatly at the warrior and he sent Tigerblaze crashing through the bushes into the forest. He stopped to pant for a second before collapsing.

Yewclaw soon had Duststrike on the floor and said, breathing heavily, his eyes wide and wild with a lust for death, "You are going to die Duststrike, today." and he gave Duststrike the killing bite and the warrior slumped to the floor.

Emberheart winced as the ear came of, creating a second nick in his ear. He clawed Nightshadow desperatly.

Cloudkit yowled as he was grabbed, but was relieved when Hawkpaw came and the warrior let go. He ran to the back of the nursery, scared. Willowbreeze went into the nursery and went to Cloudkit, and she tried to comfort the white kit.

Morningrain's eyes went wide as Yewclaw gave Duststrike the killing bite and the warrior slumped onto the ground. "YOU TRAITOR!" She shrieked, and she ran at Yewclaw, leaping onto his back.

Nightshadow went to slash Emberheart on the neck, and Moonheart was watching. Moonheart growled and lunged at Nightshadow, bowling the black tabby over.

Shimmerfur picked up Cloudkit and licked the blood on his neck. She mewed, "He was kind deep down, he didn't bite you hard, he wouldn't have killed you...." Flareleap sighed and lay on the ground, panting deeply.

Yewclaw bucked and heard Morningrain slam into the ground with a satisfying smack. He swiftly shot round and snarled, "Oh hello dear Morningrain, to what do I owe the pleasure?" he laughed wickedly and braced himself for an attack.

Emberheart gave Moonheart a swift nod of thanks and pinned Nightshadow to the floor and sunk his teeth into the deputies shoulder.
