Neville was one of the two 'potential' threats to Lord Voldemort. Shortly after his birth, his parents were tortured into insanity by four death eater with the Cruciatus Curse. They were admitted to the Janus Thickey ward of St Mungo's and he was sent to live with his grandmother. In his first year he was sorted into Gryffindor, despite being clumsy, shy , and in a constant state of embarrassment. He showed signs of being a true Gryffindor at random times (like standing up to his friends), but didn't seem particularly courageous until his fifth year--in which he and five others infiltrated the Ministry to save Sirius Black as member's of Dumbledore's army. While his sixth year was quite dull, his seventh would be the turning point in which the bashful boy blossomed into a courageous young man.

Neville was once an introvert to the extreme, but circumstances have shaped him into a true Gryffindor, bold and eager to stand up for what's right. While he was once obedient and followed the rules, his hatred of death eaters has led him to become quite the mischief maker, and quite the rebel. Even with his new-found courage, Neville was always modest about his achievements and talents.

Cruelty | "I can't stand it!"
Formerly a victim of bullying, Neville knows how it feels to be isolated and hurt. But those days are gone and he's made it a personal mission to end all forms of cruelty that he possibly can.

The Cruciatus Curse | "..."
While no one wants to be on the receiving end, Neville has a very personal connection with this curse as his parents were tortured in madness with it. In fact, there isn't a single thing that bothers him more.

Lanky | "I could use a good work out."
Neville is a very lanky boy. He's quite tall, but doesn't have a significant amount of muscle to even it out. He has slimmed down considerably since his first year.

Hazel | "They look brown to me."
Neville's eyes are a very distinct hazel color. Not quite gold, but not quite brown either.

Mousy Brown | "It's brown, too."
Neville has very thick, brown locks that curl naturally when they get longer. For the sake of practicality, he keeps it short nowadays.

Posh | "Uh...I'm not sure how to answer that question."
Like many Hogwarts boys, Neville's style is rather posh out of uniform. He can always be found in slacks, button-downs, and sweater vests. He wears an assortment of colors, but they all have a grayish hint to them. He is especially fond of blues and greens.

Herbology | "It's a gift!"
One academic field that Neville's always been good at is Herbology. Thought he got off to a bad start (passing out in his first class), by his fourth year, he had it down. Without his help, Harry Potter would not have completed the second task of the Triwizard tournament.

Loyalty | "Well...I guess so!"
The Gryffindor house is valued for their loyalty and Neville is no exception. Once he has decided to give you his trust, it's yours for life. He follows his friends blindly and never gives away information, even when threatened with the very curse that so plagued his own parents.

Duelling and Sheilding | "You really think so?"
Despite being a rather unassuming and shy student, Neville was surprisingly gifted at dueling. For example: when death eaters apprehended the sextuplet during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, he was the last to be successfully grabbed. This was an impressive feat, considering the death eater attempting to take him was Bellatrix Lestrange. Furthermore, Neville was the second to master the Shielding Charm in Dumbledore's Army. (The first was, of course, Hermione.)

Luck | "Can't argue with that."
When it comes to luck, Neville is at the bottom of the food chain. IN his first year, he was assaulted by Peeves regularly. In his second year, he was hung on a chandelier by Cornish Pixies. In his third year, he was indirectly responsible for a serial killers entrance to the Gryffindor tower. In his fourth year, he was placed under the Imperius Curse for 'educational purposes'. In his fifth year, he was apprehended and held at wandpoint by one of the death eaters responsible for his parents' condition. In his sixth year, Neville was considered for Slug Club, but deemed unworthy.

Romance | "Can we talk about something else?"
Despite his valor and friendly demeanor, Neville never had much luck with girls. The only remotely romantic experience he has had to to this year was attending the Yule Ball with Ginny Weasley, but they went as friends.

Potions | "Maybe if I had a different teacher..."
Neville was almost famous for his lack of success in Potions. No matter how hard he tried, he always failed. This could have been due more to the fact that Snape was his boggart than the fact that he was genuinely horrid.

Neville is the ringleader of the yet-to-be-formed Underground Rebellion.
