Finnick had decided that they should rest, but take turns keeping watch, just in case that "wild woods woman"--as Finnick called her-- decided to come back. The Huntsman had volunteered to take first watch, hoping that indeed Arrowin did come back. He paced around their little camp, axe slung over his shoulder and Finnick asleep next to their fire. All the sudden the breeze picked up and he thought he heard a voice. A woman singing, but not just any woman, Arrowin. He stood still, listening for it again but it was gone. He frowned. Maybe he had been imagining. But the breeze picked up again and there was the singing again. He glanced over his shoulder at Finnick to check that the man was still sleeping--he was-- and then ran off to try and find Arrowin. Once he was far enough away from camp, he called, "Arrowin!" hoping she would hear him.

Arowin was about to retrace her steps yet again when she heard someone call out her name. There was no mistaking that voice anywhere. After dismounting from Ace she lead the gelding along behind her silently. She soon saw him standing a few paces away from her with his back facing her. She grinned and slipped off a shoe before giving it a soft fling in the direction of his broad back. She giggled and tilted her head watching him. "Looking for me?" she teased.

The Huntsman jumped and wheeled around when he felt something hit his back. A grin spread across his face and a glitter returned to his eyes when he saw that it was Arrowin. "Yes, indeed I was." he replied with a chuckle, picking up her shoe. He held it up and looked at it before looking back at her. "Has anyone ever told you you have tiny feet?" he asked, still smiling as he walked over to her.

Arowin laughed and let Ace graze freely nearby. She snatched up her shoe from the Huntsman's hands stickling out her tongue before pulling it on. "My feet are not small! It just seems like that to you cause your bigger than me!" she said with a smile before hugging him happily. "Finnick not driven you into killing him yet?" she said with a grin that just showed how very much she liked the idea of a dead Finnick. Arowin sat down leaning against the trunk of a tree and motioned for him to join her.

The Huntsman chuckled softly, looking down at her. "Okay, maybe." he said, hugging her back and placing a kiss on her forehead. He sat down next to her, leaning his back against the tree, one arm around Arrowin. "Not yet. Not yet." He glanced at the sky before looking back down at her. "You're back early. Something wrong?"

Arowin shook her head leaning against him. "No, nothing is wrong, just missing you and hoping we could spend some time together before having to taunt you the whole night." she said watching Ace grazing not far off from them. "What are we going to do once we reach the channel? she asked him after a few moments of silence. It had been saying heavy in her mind, they would need a boat and that would mean a lot of money and even waiting a day or two in the town. "Maybe we should all just make a break for it now." she said looking up at him hopefully.

The Huntsman chuckled, leaning his head on hers. "Sounds nice." he said to her first comment. He was glad she came early. Spending some more time with her sounded perfect to him. "We'll get a boat. I'll help you steal one." He looked down at her. "Once you reach the channel I'll sneak away from Finnick, kill him if I have to. But we can't run now, it's too early. You're too far from the border and the King's men from another city could catch you."

Arowin sighed and nodded knowing that what he said was true. "I know but it was worth a shot anyway." she said resting her head on his chest. Usually Arowin wasn't one to run from a fight, she was usually the cause and the one to end it but this was different, there were others to look out for now and for the first time she wanted to have a future, she wanted to one day settle down and have a normal life, raise kids and grow old in peace. She could hardly image spending the rest of her life as an outlaw anymore. The more time she spent with the Huntsman the more she wanted to retire from fighting all the time and having to spend her life on the run from one thing or another.

The Huntsman nodded, stroking her hair. "I know." He sighed. He too wanted to settle down now. He wanted a life again, a family to come home to every day. He missed the days of walking into the house after a long day in the blacksmith shop and scooping up his baby in his arms, then kissing his wife hello and sitting down for dinner, then cuddling by the fire as they watched the baby play. "I'll get you across the channel to France." he promised. "And I'll come with you. I'll build us a house, and I'll start my blacksmith shop again."

Arowin smiled picturing a nice tiny cottage with a blacksmith forge right next to it. "Sounds like a plan to me." she said and kissed his cheek. "How long till that idiot Finnick wakes up?" she asked glancing at the sky. There was still an hour or two of daylight but they couldn't risk Finnick seeing them together and yet Arowin was to reluctant to leave.
